So this is going to be fun!

I am admittedly a bit of a girl - love dressing and really playing with my sexuality and gender.  Milady has decided to make use of that in our relationship and is encouraging me to really make something of this.  Naturally, to Her benefit!

In addition to giving her manicures and pedicures, I want to start taking care of her hair, take massage lessons and such and she seems delighted by the prospect.

So yesterday, she presented me with a book called "Making Faces" by Kevyn Aucoin - it is a really comprehensive guide for makeup on both women and men.  It covers each area of the face with application material tips and has a bunch of really great "concept looks" and some "famous faces" made up by Kevyn all with very detailed instructions.

It's a beautiful book and I am going to really enjoy getting into this, not only for Her, but for me too!  We are planning a trip to the beauty supply store to get me a kit together, and she has agreed to let me practice on her.

This is going to be really fun!

Here is a link to the book on Amazon if anyone is interested in reading a bit about it:

Wow... If you keep this up you can open a saloon soon! Makeup, pedicures, manicures, hair, massage... You are turning into some kind of super-sub!

No, nothing super about me.  I am just beyond the moon that I have found someone for whom my girl side is a turn on and is happy to explore it with me.  If anything, She is the Super part...

i really think i am going to buy this.
I've always wanted to be able to make myself up right for my Sir.
I see myself as being pretty plain jane and always go with very neutral colors, but there are nights I want to go into deep dark colors that i know are good for my skin tone but honestly i don't feel i can achieve.....that and I keep poking myself in the eye.....ouch  i know but true

*nods*  I'll second that.  Great book.

I got it for myself and my wife as a part of overhauling her visual appearance.  She was never much of a girly girl and didn't know a lot about makeup application.  It was a good read for both of us.

I love that book Otter! Isn't it wonderful?

I'm the family and friend official makeup artist, and I got a lot of my lessons from there when I was a teenager and trying to figure out how not to stab myself in the eyes with the eyeshadow brush. I'm trying to get a job as a makeup artist at Sephora.

If you want, message me on the other side about any makeup questions you have and I'll be happy to answer them!!! That goes for anyone, actually. I'll be happy to look at pics and suggest colors, brushes, etc.

Thanks so much for the offer of help!  I will be sure to take you up on it if I run into any problems.  My makeup skills are not too bad...for a guy...but I am waaayyy behind most of the cool techniques in the book.  So I am really looking forward to diving in and practicing a bit on my Lady...and myself.

If you want to see a guy that looks fantastic in women's makeup, look at Eddie Izzard. You can find pics and stuff on the net, and there's vids of him on Youtube. He's a British comedian that happens to be a transvestite. An action transvestite!

And just let me know, I'll be there with bells and whistles on!

*mwah!* to Greedy - I just drove through your neck of the woods to go visit Sir tonight!

<3 <3 <3 Eddie!!

Running, jumping, climbing trees...putting on makeup while you're up there!

Spent this afternoon watching Youtube clips of some of my favorite Eddie Izzard skits. Was laughing so hard I thought I'd cry.

That book is AWESOME!  And I LOVE LOVE LOVE Eddie Izzard.  :)

Speaking of Eddie Izzard -- for more men who look good in makeup, look no further than Velvet Goldmine.  Damn those boys are pretty!  I've always had a soft spot for androgyny.  And the scene where Jonathan Reese Myers crawls in his Bowie-inspired stage gear toward Ewan McGregor.. oh lord.

I am a firm believer that more men out there should learn strategic uses for eyeliner and glitter (though certainly not all.  There are some men who just can't pull off the makeup thing).  Oh, and that more women should wear suits.
