Status: offline 		I notice BDSM music threads pop up on the forums frequently so I thought I’d stick my latest creation up here.  It’s a sound track for a little 6 minute video I am making.  I’ll post the vid link when it’s finished but in the meantime here is 50,000 watts of funky dance music with some BDSM lyrics to stick in your ear.  If you like contemporary dance,  hip hop or funk, you may enjoy this.

Status: offline 		Glad you enjoyed.  I did that in 3 days on my home computer.  That is record time for me, I wish my studio projects had gone so quickly!  Funkin’ hip hop rhythms are so biological feeling they can be downright sexual.  Like a fast serpentine hook that snakes through your body.  

I am a bass player.  However, drummers are notorious for bad behavior and I had to sit in on drums for many rehearsals in my day as well as programming drum machines and samples for many recording sessions.  I love creating hot rhythms… even when I am not in the bed!

If you like contemporary dance, funk or hip hop you may enjoy this.

Status: offline 		Glad you enjoyed this.  I remember the days when I used to edit with a razor blade and recording tape instead of a computer.  I owned Spectrum Sound Studios back in the 80s.  The internet was just developing for public use and I was a member of the PAN/Delphi group online.  I met Herby Hancock among others on PAN (performing artists group) and swamped drum samples with them. 

I remember when it was a technological miracle of science to get Stevie Wonder singing on a European recording from his home studio in California by bouncing shit off satellites*.  Now people do that shit on the internet everyday. 

*Tech Story
They bounced a 2 channel (stereo) signal off a satellite from Europe with a mono music mix in channel and a SMPTE time code in the other.  This was picked up by dish in Stevie Wonder’s studio in California and dropped onto his mutlitrack recorder where he added his voice.  Then he bounced the SMPTE code and his voice only on the 2 channel carrier wave back to Europe.  They aligned his voice using the SMPTE time code and put on their master multitrack music recording.  In the dawn of the digital age, that was quite an advanced use of the technology.

I presume you are talking about the band called "Dead Sex Money".  We used to make flyers that looked like ransom notes on my Xerox machine.  We would cut out newspaper letters and tape them to the glass, then toss money, sex toys, drugs, girl’s body parts and whatever or whoever else happen to be laying around the studio.  Our flyers were better than the band imo.  I heard some people collected the flyers because we would move shit around on the copier while it was printing so many were one-of-kind.

Thank you for your comments and letters.  To answer some questions:
-Yes, the MC is my voice.  About half my vocal samples are my natural tone, the other half have been pitch shifted by 2 semitones  i.e. the booming “Resident Sadist” sample. 

-Yes, those are the Volkswagen commercial music samples during the guppies, sharks, Zed and James Brown are dead section. 

- No, they aren’t straight loops and you can’t find versions of the Stereo MC’s Get Connected song with that beat.  I played the drums and added other instrumentation from one end of the song to the other except 4 bars in the intro during the Amen Break tribute and even that was layered and mixed on top if Tone Loc’s Wild Thing drum sample and Steve Wonders keyboard lick.  More about Amen Break… (perhaps the most important drum sample in the world)

- This was my original drum beats mixed with multi layered loops and musical instrument samples that were pitch shifted to match the key of the song.  As many as 3 songs at a time to get the sound you hear. 

- There were 98 individual samples used from dozens of sources to makes this song.

- Yes, there is more music.
Renegade Master (original dance music)
Greatest Master (edited rock song)

Renegade Master - is like 50,000 Watts in that it uses wide variety of samples to make a new and original composition. 

Greatest Master - Is a very unique piece and everyone that hears it is surprised by the lyrics and arrangement.  This song only uses samples from one source to convert the song about Pokemon into a BDSM anthem called Greatest Master.  Besides being a good piece of music, it is interesting because of the way a children’s video game song was painstakingly edited, to the point I chopped single words out and rearranged them to create BDSM content.  You got to hear it to believe it.  Most people like it because it is pretty mainstream rock’n roll.
