I might take a hit for saying this but it just seems like "financial domination" is becoming more and more popular these days, especially in the younger dommes, mistresses, goddesses what have you. I'm not saying that paying a tribute to a pro domme is wrong or buying your mistress gifts is wrong either but I thing that the whole "financial domination" is getting a little out of hand. The best ones are the "online only" financial dommes?? whats up with that?? I did an experiment, I actually contacted an online only financial domme. I got her...or him on yahoo messenger, her/him asked for all of my paypal info right away...no info no chat. Needless to say I didn't give out any info. My question is: Are there actually people out there that do give out your financial info to online only dommes?...and the same for a real time domme, do you really give them your bank info and or your credit cards so they can spend all your money? It just seems like these certain people have zero interest in the lifestyle and are just using it to take advantage of lonely people.

It's just another form of prostitution ... people paying for sex. Where there are prostitutes, there are people who don't realize that ... "Oh my god? You're a hooker?" ... the person they're talking to isn't really interested in you, just your wallet. And, oh yeah, some prostitutes are dishonest and will steal from you.

I am no personal fan of financial Domination, but I think this type of thought demonstrates a lack of understanding of the issue. Unless you are equating all Dominants as sexual providers, and distinguishing only amongst those who do it for free and those who are paid. John

I think the only disinterested way to find the answer to your question would be to set up a professional organization for financial dominants. Membership in this organization would be obtained only by taking and passing a certification test (designed, written, edited, and peer-approved by already respected leaders in the financial domination industry), resulting in a "shingle" that a financial dominant could proudly display upon his or her wall or web site. This would tell the submissives of the world that the financial dominant has been evaluated by his or her peers and found competent in the field, thus is a true and real financial dominant. Submissives seeking this kind of domination should feel comfortable enough to gladly give custody of their financial resources to their new dominant. Along the way, various surveys would be passed through the membership for the purpose of gathering abstract information; some of which could be questions posed to gather the information needed to answer the quoted question.

Depending upon the dynamic in the relationship, length of the relationship, and level of (earned) trust, it's not exactly uncommon for submissives/slaves to turn over all their possessions (including their money) to their Dominant. In fact, that's not exactly uncommon in vanilla relationships either (where one partner handles all the money). But "financial Domination" is generally accepted to mean something different (ie: a "tribute" is paid for the priviledge of a Dominant's time, or even their mere recognition of a submissive/slave as existing). It is not meant as payment for sex, hence it is not prostitution in the legal sense. John
