McCain "spins" baaaadddddd....Obama "spins" gooooooooddd!!

Spin baby spin. Unfortunately the great percentage of the american public can see how rediculous McCain's spins are.

Regardless of whether or not I agree with John McCain's politics, I did kinda like the guy and have some measure of respect for him. The way he has run his campaign and behaved during it has completely changed my opinion of John McCain the man. Now he appears to be a tired, bitter old man with a short fuse and poor decision making skills grasping at any life preserver that floats by. It really is quite sad.

As far as McCain's running of his campaign, it has been horrible.  He took the high road, never made an issue, until lately, about the lack of judgement Obama has shown over his lifetime in choosing friends, mentors, and associations which, after all, is all we basically have to judge the ability of this man to perform those wonderful deeds expressed in his speeches.  At the same time, McCain has tolerated the negative ads, the "Move on .org messages..remember "Betryous" Talk about "spin"...
Obama is spreading more than the wealth around..he is spreading stuff that is good for the roses and tomato plants.

McCain is guilty as charged:  He has been a "gentleman" in a campaign against a well-disciplined, focused, Chicago machine of ultra-leftists.  It's gonna be an interesting twenty some odd days until the election.

He just flat out blows and you know it. I hope you have the good sense to go back and demand they bring something better to the table.

Seems a strange notion to hold that all the smears of Obama must have originated from within his own camp. Mind you, it does support the notion of a universally liberal media if the publishers of those smears were in fact doing it for Obama.

Seems a strange notion to hold that the negative campaign ads against Obama that McCain endorsed are not to be accounted as his words or opinions. Does this mean that
a) they are fraudulent? (worrying)
b) McCain didnt understand what he was endorsing? (even more worrying)

Yes. Exactly.

LaTigresse -> RE: Joe The Plumber - A Fraud And A Tax Dodger (10/18/2008 8:47:34 AM)

If McCain's behaviour has been that of a gentleman, I want nothing to do with a gentleman, ever again.

slvemike4u -> RE: Joe The Plumber - A Fraud And A Tax Dodger (10/18/2008 8:48:27 AM)

Cory any "spin" so full of bullshit is baddddd.When one tries to "spin",it helps if he has legs to "spin" on.Blaming Obama and/or the "liberal" media for Joe the not really a plumber's current problems is akin to blaming a rape victim because her skirt was too short.McCain's campaign is lurching ,desperate,and at this point dysfunctional......I guess a case could be made to blame Obama for that too,after all if he wasn't running such a professional and successful campaign...McCain would not look so inept in comparison...

MasterJaguar01 -> RE: Joe The Plumber - A Fraud And A Tax Dodger (10/18/2008 8:53:35 AM)

OK... First of all...

I am now convinced that the guy is definitely not a McCain plant.

1) (This coming from his aunt): The guy was brought up by a very far right-leaning stepfather who hammered right-wing rhetoric into his head his whole life.  He is basically a good guy, but intentionally exaggerted his own situation to try to score a political attack on Obama's tax plan.

2) McCain pounced on it and milked it until it was past dust.

Bottom line: FORGET #1, and #2.  Just take his exaggerated reality as a hypothetical:

The business earns let's say $280,000.  EVEN assuming that is the AGI AFTER all deductions (and business have a PLETHORA of deductions)... The business would pay an extra 3% on $30,000.  Comes to $900.

His premise that the extra $900 would:

1) Prohibit him from buying a business earning $280,000/yr
2) Employing anyone

Absolute Nonsense!

Leave Joe The Plumber alone...  Just realize that even his hypothetical simply doesn't hold water.

Bethnai -> RE: Joe The Plumber - A Fraud And A Tax Dodger (10/18/2008 9:06:05 AM)

No, I don't think so Mr. One Post Man.

slvemike4u -> RE: Joe The Plumber - A Fraud And A Tax Dodger (10/18/2008 9:06:39 AM)

MasterJaguar01,Joe the plumber,to me,isn't and never was the issue,McCains attention to details as evidenced by this Joe the plumber fiasco...and his selection of a V.P. candidate under investigation for ethics violations (which despite her claims,she was not "vindicated"of).....McCain,simply put is unfit for the office he aspires to....it is really IMO that simple.

BlackPhx -> RE: Joe The Plumber - A Fraud And A Tax Dodger (10/18/2008 9:16:11 AM)

Cory I am not sure what campaign ads you are seeing that I am not but her e in Florida McCain has been running some extremely negative ads almost exclusively, ALL with the I am John McCain and I approve this message, voice over. He has been far from a gentleman including trying to talk over his opponent during debates, ignoring the topics/issues and smirking every time his opponent spoke and snubbing his opponent, his wife and the audience as he left the stage.  He has appeared to be a Gentleman to some degree only because His Lipsticked Pit bull has been dishing insults, digs and misinformation worse than any fishwife hanging over the back fence. Believe me I have listened live and in person to all of them speaking. I wasn't impressed by McCain or Palin, and NO I don't expect ANY Candidate to answer fully any random persons question when on a walk around. Explaining the Tax code and understanding the yearly changes to it is not something that can be done in a 30 second meet and greet. Heck your accountant has to study each year to know what the changes are and how they affect the changes from last year and the year before.

Now here is a kicker for everyone who is protesting the "sharing of the wealth" as some like to put it. The President can PROPOSE, but Congress House and Senate has to APPROVE THE CHANGES TO THE TAX CODE for it to become a law. Every tax credit and deduction your get has had to go through that. . It also works Vice Versa. Congress proposes, the President can Line Item Veto or Veto.. It is part of the Checks and Balances of Government. Obama can put out any plan he wants, ultimately there has to be a meeting of the minds of the Executive Branch of the Government for it to be passed into law. Nothing is Unilateral. Here is a reminder of how it Works.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0dVo3nbLYC0

Actually I must correct something. I am impressed by McCain and his track record and it shows me where he would be MOST effective, continueing to do the job he has done so well for the past 27 years. Keeping Congress honest and working together and he can best continue to do that from the floor I suspect.

MasterJaguar01 -> RE: Joe The Plumber - A Fraud And A Tax Dodger (10/18/2008 9:36:15 AM)

sigh...

Well need to stop attcking Joe the Plumber.  Joe's background is irrelavant.  He claimed that Obama's tax plan would keep him from buying Newall Plumbing and employing anyone.

Anyone who has READ Obama's tax plan and knows anything about business immediately can recoginze this is pure nonsense.

(Even if you assume the business makes $280k/yr (it does not), and Joe has the means to buy the business (he does not), and Joe is licensed to operate it (he is not))

Just take his stroy as a hypothetical and the claim that the business is hurt by Obama's tax plan is STILL pure nonsense.

Just curious...if any of us had asked that question, would the fact that we had a profile here on a kink bdsm website and all of our postings be all over the news two days later?  I find this all to be a little scary and intimidating for the average American citizen.

"they" are so bad bad bad,.....and mean too,whoever "they" are.

The fake outrage over the fake plumber from the fake candidate.A trifecta.

~~~~~~~~~~~~
I kinda would like it if "they " would stop calling Obama a Communist,Socialist,Arab,ultra-leftist,extremist,terrorist,friend to al-queda,not one of us,Muslim,radical,etc.,etc.,etc.
I wish "they" would stop it.What they are doing is dangerous and not in the norm,at all.
But McCain has embraced the unhinged ,dark side of America.Let him be consumed by it.
To anyone who says they support McCain,they must acknowledge the bigoted ,dark,McCarthy-like tactics and renounce them,otherwise be associated with them and McCain.
Sorry,you can`t have it both ways.
What a fool McCain was to try to pry a renunciation out of Obama for something John Lewis said
