I have found out that I have a lot of trouble when kneeling in front of my mistress for more than 5-10 minutes (depending on the type of floor), cutting of some of the circulation and being generally umcomfortable.
Yesterday when I knelt in front of her we had a lengthy discussion, in the meantime I started to feel some pinching of the nerves at the bottom of one foot. After standing up I noticed something besides leg cramps and itches, a small area just above the toes was numb and stayed like that until today.
Anyone here that has similar problems?

Sounds like the begging signs of poor circulation. You might trying communicating to your Mistress that you need something to kneel on. Pillow, furs. Something to cushion the knees and legs. Some nerves get pinched and takes longer to wake back up.

I too have a problem kneeling for long periods of time, but mines is more back problems. And I have an open discussion with my Doctor about this. And he then sends me home with information to share with who I need to on how to work with and around this problem. So unless you feel you need to go now, during your next check up, let your doctor know you're having problems like you are having. They may need to check you out further.

Good Luck

Jessica

Linda

I have issues with my knees as well, though not circulation-related.

I got a gardener's kneeling pad...high density foam, with gel inserts to kneel on...vast improvement.

Something similar might work for you, if Mistress allows it.

Also try different kneeling positions if she allows it.

Japanese - knees slightly apart feet crossed weight on your heels. Very comfortable once your used to it.

Feet together knees apart and verticle from the knees up.

Knees together feet parts with your bum on the ground or calves.

Thats all I can think of at the moment but Im sure you can find some others doing a search. Try them all until you find on that works and dosn't make you cramp/pins & needles and then ask her if its ok. Or something along those lines anyways, I find it's better to have a solution ready to present when I'm about to ask to do something different or change something.

Hope that helps some. Good luck to you =)

I agree with this, this position takes some getting used to, but is very comfy after a while. I went to a strict martial arts school and we were required to sit like this whenever we sat. We also have a traditional Japanese dining set-up in our home, this means no chairs and we sit like this to eat. Just practice and it will become second nature.

A pillow *behind* the knees while kneeling will help with nerve compression.

greetings,
buffy kneels a lot in r/l and has found the position of nadu to be most comfortable with the bum resting on the back of the heels and the knees wide open (which not only looks well but allows for balance).
That said, sometimes after a time it can hurt particularily if there is a slave anklet on, jabbing maliciously into the back of the thigh and pressing implacabely into the ankle from where the ankle comes into contact with the floor. At that point, it has help her to beg to be permitted to 'curl'.
To curl is to semi-recline upon one side but still sitting up, with some of the body weight being place upon the hand and arm and the feet 'curled' in behind touching the bum.
This has help for her and hope that it help too, for you.
respectfully
buffy

Some people just can't handel kneeling long periods of time. Does your family have a history of poor circulation? If so that could be one factor. I would try a daily regement of streching to loosen the legs and could make it easier.

Sit in a chair near the edge strech one leg out toes up and resting on the back of the heel, then lean foreward. You do NOT have to touch your toes, just do it till you feel a strech in the back of your knee. Hold that for ten seconds and then lean back to relax it for a few seconds then foreward agian to strech untill you have streched it ten times. Do that ten times for each leg, agian jsut enough leaning foreward til you feel a strech. You can also them lean back in the chair hold your leg out and raise it till it is level to strengthin your legs a bit. By both streching and strengthing you leg you could maybe clear up some of these problems. Also try small pillow both under your knees and behind your knees. Behind your knees will give some padding and not cut off circulation so much.

Before the one you serve comes home, think about strectching those muscles that cramp up on you. Also see about exercising. Exercise and stretching will help boost your endurance for such endevors. Also try drinking more water and take vitamins the include sodium and potassium. For some unexplained reason, some people just get cramps when in certain positions as if it were a reflex. I can tell you first hand that getting a cramp in you arms or bicepts while masterbateing SUCKS!!! Anyways, steching, exercise, and some vitamins should help in delaying the inevitable cramp. Give it a try along with the above advice and tell me how it works out in a month from now.

NEXT!!!

Just be careful to much is a bad thing. Potassium can do weird things to the heart. My grandfather ended up in the hospital after eating a few bananas and when his levels came back the doctors eyes about bugged out of his head, he said he had never seen someone with levels of potassium that high not die. For most people without an existing heart condition not a problem, just be careful with it and don't take to much. Vitamins are good but to much of a vitamin can be a bad thing.

I actually have My subs kneel for a few then have them go to the Lotus position at My feet--legs crossed--hands flat on floor at the side--that takes care of those pesky joints---

If its really a major health concern with circulation, you could get a buddhist prayer stool, you will still be kneeling but there will be no pressure on your legs or feet.

You could buy or make yourself a Zafu. If you google Zafu you will see lots of places to buy them but I like the ones they make at dharmacrafts.com. They sell them as seconds sometimes at a reduced price and the company appears to have a great deal of integrity and does excellent work. I have one stuffed with buckwheat hulls. Nice and light and it conforms to the body nicely. If you rest your bum on it, you can sit with your knees spread apart just as if you were kneeling but there is not that extra pressure on the knees or the circulatioin issues with the back of the thighs and calves because it supports your body weight. Good luck.

I love kneeling for Master but i broke a bone in my foot a couple of years ago and if i get the initial position wrong oooooooo it does play up, so ive found i have to play around with my foot a while to make sure i dont aggravate it anymore than necessary, i usually have one foot under me and the other facing outwards which again if i dont get it right i get terrible pains in my legs or pins and needles .. all adds to the scene tho but its when you stand up lol oooooh owwwww dead toes lol ive also noticed the time of the month figures, if im mid cycle im ok but if due im not, whether any other fem subs/slaves have noticed this would be interesting to know :o)

Other than that i think the stretching excercises someone mentioned and maybe massaging with cream might help prepare the legs.

rr xx
