I'm not sure where you can find detailed information on it, but as a former medical professional I can tell you without question....eating feces is not healthy at all. All the scares in recent years about contaminated meat is based on ecolli contaminating the meat. ecolli comes from feces, animal or human.

I don't know anyone who practices this personally, but I would venture to say that although the average healthy adult has a fairly good immunity to bacteria such as is found in feces, those that do practice this probably find themselves somewhat sick with indigestion problems frequently at the very least. Too much, and they are bound to wind up extremely sick. That is assuming the person is healthy. The list of diseases that can be transmitted through feces is very long. And none of them good.

I think it should also be mentioned that scat does not exclusively include digesting feces. I believe (not from experience!) that much of it has to do with simply being used as a human toilet and wearing it so to speak, not eating.

Moves on to another subject now as I think I know more than I wish to on this one. *grins

i am somewhat experienced in scat. Master and i are both D/D free. If you have a weak immune system due to cold or any other illness then scat, even rimming, could make you sick. i believe if Master's shit was in my mouth all the time then sure i would get sick. To date i have not been sick. i have not suffered indigestion or any side effects. That is not to say it is not possible, but i am aware of the risk. Feel free to visit my journal at

www.masters-aphrodite.com

It goes back several months and there are different entries that involve scat.

Good luck,
aphrodite

To me personally I wont practice it. I don't believe it to safe. Feces has a lot of bacteria and germs in it that live in the bowels, even eating your own is dangerous because the bacteria which lives in your bowels rarly enters the blood stream which is why it doesn't get you sick normally. Disreguarding my personal lack of interest and speaking from a purly medical point of view I advise agianst it.

The only place I put my poo is down the toilet.

If you want to play with it I suggest that you take your vitamins to help aide your immune system, take antioxins, and drink lots of water. Be sure to wash throughly when you're all done. By no means is Scat healthy but you can still live a healthy and full life with minor discressions. I've written in threads before about SCAT and staying healthy. I suggest that you try searching for them.

I myself don't do well with SCAT play. It reminds me of my past work as a CNA/EMT for nursing homes and hospitals. I've changed and bathed many patients causing me to loose all if any interest to use human waste for BDSM play. However, using SCAT as a from of torture on terrorist, rapist, and drunk drivers wouldn't bother me the least bit.

I do not encourage nor discourage you from participating in SCAT. I would only like for you to go back on past threads about SCAT and rethink your options and possibilities. SCAT has been very interesting for many how participate in it both as pleasure and punishment. As to whatever directions you take, best of luck.

This is an excerp from a site about poop

http://www.smellypoop.com/poop.html

Can you get sick from eating poop?
(Question submitted by Wendell)

Yes, you can definitely get sick from eating poop, even in minute quantities! Although urine emerges sterile from the body (unless the person has an infection), poop emerges loaded with bacteria and sometimes other life forms. Many diseases, including food poisoning, cholera and typhus, are spread by fecal contamination. Many parasites, such as the notorious tapeworm, can be spread through deliberate or accidental ingestion of poop.
There are some parasites, such as pinworms, who depend on people eating their own poop to keep the population up. Pinworms are small nematodes that live in the colon. The females emerge from the anus at night to lay their eggs. Their activity makes the anal area itch. The person scratches the itch (often doing so in his sleep), procuring a small amount of fecal matter and eggs under his fingernails, and then puts his fingers in his mouth. Once the eggs are consumed, the person is infected with a new generation of pinworms.
I have read that almost everyone has pinworms. Luckily, pinworms don't do much harm. You only notice them if you have a lot of pinworms! If you want to find out if you do indeed have them, get someone to gently touch around your anal area with Scotch tape while you are sleeping. The worms will stick to the tape and you'll be able to see them.

Feces contains many unsafe bacteria, parasites. If there is blood in it, it can also pass on hepatitis. These are some of the reasons medical workers are required to wear gloves if they have to clean up this material from a patient.
