ORIGINAL: PlayfulOne I've been thinking that idiotic little catch phrase of Mrs. Caribou Barbie sounded really familiar. Watching my son today it all came clear. The Mickey mouse Club House. Every time mickey ask a question, after the answer he says, "You Betcha". K Idiotic little "catch phrase"? Maybe it seems to you to be idiotic, but you just indicted a entire group of Americans who might be living in parts of America where "you betcha" is kinda like some city idiot saying "cool dude"..Why stop there..how about all those people down south of the Mason Dixon line who use expressions like "dang it"..or "dang tooten"...gosh, I wish Sarah would throw in a "dang tooten" in one of her speeches. What the hell are they teaching in woman study courses on campus these days? It seems to me that, while male libs also resort to stupid name calling...it's women libs that come across with the most bitter and nasty personal comments about Sarah. That's what I think about...not whether Sarah says youbetcha..or Barack says, well, whatever is written down at the time. We can agree or disagree passionately with each others political views, choice in candidates, political parties, or toga parties, but is it really intelligent discourse during these serious times to attack a woman, as so many have done, because she comes from a small town in a frontier state and speaks differently than we do? You want to tear apart her ideas...lets have a go at it...but discussing "Caribou Barbie"? By the way, Sarah is a "moose hunter"...there is a difference between Caribou and Moose, members of different deer families...with Moose more akin to elk. So I guess it should be "MooseBarbie"...dontchathink?
