As a musically-oriented person, I was curious if any of you had ever used music to enhance a scene? If so, what songs?

Night of Navajos - Native American Sunrise for a wind down from a good waxing. Will usually leave her lay there until the wax cools to body temperature listening to this.

Lifescapes - Native American Flute Music - Whispering Forest for the cool down after a long flogging.

Oh, and for the initial start of the night? Techno - Blade - Vampire Dance Club. Great whipping beat ;)

Many songs used, all depending on the night and what I want to do at the time or the mood I am in.

Yes, I listen to a mix of delerium and a few others that sound similar, plus a couple CD's I have from a composer called Butt Boy. He makes CD's specifically for dungeon music, but I don't know the URL for his site. I picked them up at Thunder in the Mountains a couple years ago.

Yes absolutely. I find that the right music will put me in the 'mood'.

I listen to Delerium, Evanescence, and Lesiem

I enjoy a variety of music during scenes, depending on the context and the mood I want to facilitate for myself and my submissive(s). . African tribal music; Japanese Kodo drumming; classical such as Handel's "Music for the Royal Fireworks," Pachabel's canon, Wagner's "Flight of the Valkyries," and others; as well as some high energy techno music, some raunch rock like Joan Jett's "I Wanna be Your Dog," as well as the ubiquitous "new age" music like Enigma are all selections that I've used and enjoyed in BDSM scenes.

Have fun with it!

Can I take a gander here and guess that you haven't been to a BDSM club where scenes are open to the public?

I like the tune "Whistle while you work"

Music has always been there to help enhance feelings and emotion. Why do you think it's so popular on radios and in movies? Music can help with rythem and can sometimes help que the Sadist when to switch from flogger to whip to paddle to after slowing down and to after care. Even when music isn't playing, I always have some toon going in my mind when having a session with pet. A session can be considered a type of dance. What's the fun in danceing if there's not music or noise? The greatest thing about music is that you can use just about any song to have a scene with. If I can flog to "Whistle While You Work", eat pussy while singing The Smurfs Theme song, and then go Doggy Style with Silly Songs from Larry the Cucumber on Veggie Tales; then I think you won't have any problems having a little bit of fun with your favoriate songs regardless if the music and lyrics have anything to do with BDSM or not.

I most often play in public, therefore the music is chosen by the venue host, from early childhood I wanted to be a dancer/choreographer, but never had the opportunity to do choreography, in scene, if the music is right on and the energy is flowing, I dance. It is intuitive and very visceral. For the high point of working a pain slut I adore "Thunderstruck".

During flogging, with the right music, I use my waist length hair in place of a horsehair flogger, every boy seems to love it, even when it is sweat soaked. There is a more personal energy connection than using a horsehair flogger. I only had one incident when someone pinched a sub's nipples as I was hair flogging that he arched back at the wrong moment and I got a headache from the impact lol. The risks of having 2 people working one sub.

I almost always use music. Something about it helps make a scene so much more intense. Generally, whatever gets you in a specific mood would be what you ought to use. One of my personal favorites for a high energy scene is the CD "The Downward Spiral" by Nine Inch Nails. Also most Depeche Mode tends to hit the spot.

I am one of the few who rarely use music! I am too fixated on moving to music in certain ways, and unless I want the music to guide me, it's just something for me to tune out. A friend of mine has entire mixes to choreograph scenes to! They are genius!

I will admit that once I did an entire session with Car Talk in the background. Love those guys. :)

I almost always use music, and most often it is Metallica's S&M album (Disk 2). There is the obvious connection with the name (S&M = Symphony and Metallica). It is like a best of Metallica played with the SF Symphony Orchestra. I find it is a great blend of the primal sound of Metallica with the sensuous sound of the orchestra. I like that it flows from one song into the next, there aren't breaks between songs. There is also the cheering. During Master of the Puppets, the audience gets involved screaming MASTER!! MASTER!! during the chorus. Quite nice for the old ego nicht wahr?

Yes, Butt boy has some really good music. I picked my CDs up at the Boston Fetish Flea
I also enjoy Enigma- and Enya has a few that are awesome

In response to the o.p.
music enhances anything for me, and during play, intensely so. I tend to be the one to bring out the music, it seems to not matter to him either way.

Air - how does it make you feel
absolutely anything mixed by Eric Morillo, Tom Stephan.

Mostly i would describe the music to play by, for me anyhow, as Ambient Dance or tribal.

I enjoy creating a musical atmosphere for us to play in. It is a small way i can contribute to enhancing the experience for us both. Even though he seems to not be fussed either way, if im submitting more, then he's gaining. And music certainly enhances things for me, often intensely so.

Ive been fortunate to allways be around musical people.

Indeed. In fact I even off pre-mixed "scene" cd setlists for people at our local club night depending on moods.

Though I am slightly more off kilter with the fact that the angrier the music the most jovial and playful, but the softer the sounds the more wrathful and intense I get.
