...will be voting for McCain to better position Hillary for another run in 2012?

Vendaval -> RE: How many Hillary voters in here..... (10/23/2008 11:05:54 PM)

Hello Popeye,

Neither myself or anyone I know personally, male or female, that were supporting Senator Clinton are voting for Senator McCain.  We are all voting for Senator Obama.

Hillary is done, you can stick a fork in her.....The party and the lib media turned on her big time for a better "commercial".  She was just the warm up for Palin.
The party now belongs to Barack, win or lose....

Boy would I love to be a fly on the wall of the booth when she casts her vote....Gotta watch what kinda smile she comes out of the booth with on her face...will proably tell the story...

None that I know.  You do know she has said recently that she just wants to be the best Senator she can be for the Stae of New York and has lost interest in making the run again?

The thought seems to be that Palin is already trying to position herself for 2012.  Which is why she has been going on all of the far right religious programs and disagreeing with McCain's stance on almost everything.

Are we talking about the same woman who said she wasn't running right up to the night before she announced she was running?
She hasn't lost interest so much as she lost faith in her divine right to be president.  When the chance comes to throw her name into the ring again, she will have strengthened her faith and will be "persuaded" to join the race again.

PlayfulOne -> RE: How many Hillary voters in here..... (10/24/2008 5:41:45 AM)

I don't think so Irish Knight.  Especially if Obama wins, shie is too smart to run against him as the Pres.

Not I, though I do know a few here locally.

windchymes -> RE: How many Hillary voters in here..... (10/24/2008 6:15:31 AM)

I was a potential Hillary voter, if she had gotten the nomination.  At this point in time, I'm still undecided between the two that we have.  I lean one way one day and the other way the next.  IF, I would vote for McCain, though, it would NOT be to pave the way for Hillary.  That thought hadn't even entered my mind.  I take it one election at a time, lol.

pahunkboy -> RE: How many Hillary voters in here..... (10/24/2008 6:39:21 AM)

I truly think she has no plans for 2012.

She mis-calculated 2008, and skipped 2004.  the train has left.   if Obama wins maybe she will get a nice cabinet job.  but he faked her for VP, so I dont know.  "she would be on anybodies short list"

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

MissIsis -> RE: How many Hillary voters in here..... (10/24/2008 6:44:14 AM)

I am not sure 2012 will be the best.  I think we are looking at the earliest 2016, if Obama gets a 2 term run.  I don't believe history would be on her side.

I am really not that into Obama & definitely not for McCain.  I will probably begrudgingly vote for Obama, but,  a small part of me is seriously thinking of voting Libertarian.  I don't have long to make up my mind.

Irishknight -> RE: How many Hillary voters in here..... (10/24/2008 6:45:46 AM)

I'm not talking 2012 unless Obama blows this somehow or just decides he doesn't want a second term.  But I would never count her out until she is dead for trying to get into the big chair.

Oh hell no.

BlackPhx -> RE: How many Hillary voters in here..... (10/24/2008 9:26:31 AM)

Even if I had been supporting Hillary, why on earth would I want to hurt the country for 4 years in hope that she MIGHT run.

Not me, I do not agree with his politics. I'll be supporting Obama.

Worked for ,supported and voted for Hillary....have supported Obama vigorously and donated heartily....I will put my vote where my money went and vote Obama/Biden.

thetammyjo -> RE: How many Hillary voters in here..... (10/24/2008 10:08:26 AM)

The mere thought of supporting Clinton then supporting McCain turns my stomach.

Of course I only voted for Clinton when my first and second choices dropped out too soon.

I did read an article on that. It would explain some things. I'm wondering if the rep party has just thrown in the towel and are gearing up for Plain in 2012. I doubt it though, they'll fight til the end.

MasterVirago -> RE: How many Hillary voters in here..... (10/24/2008 1:23:14 PM)

I think 2016 for Hillary. If Obama loses 2008, she'll be blamed for the drawn out Primary and her chances are over.
He has to win 2008, win or lose 2012, then she's in 2016. He would also need to appoint her a serious position in 2008 to position her for 2016.

If the dems really do right by the American people, with a dem pres and a dem congress, they could end up holding the white house for many years to come.

If they win and don't fix the ills of this nation, voters will run to the reps with open arms in 2012.

I don't know. She'll be 69 by then with no military experience to offset her advancing age like McCain has and she, yes, is beloved by many, but equally hated by, pretty much, an equal amount. 2016 is no gimme for Hillary and I seriously doubt she would run then. I'd like her to stay right where she's at, in the Senate working on women's issues. As far as I'm concerned, that's where we need her, that's where she shines and that's where she would best serve this country.
