Status: offline 		It depends, if the listing is under eBays charity listings, then the person will never see the money.  eBay sends it directly to the charity listed, because as we all know not everyone is honest

Now if it is not listed under their charity listings and they claim it's going to charity, then it's fraud.  But the person has several listings all under charity listings on eBay

Status: offline 		There are people rich enough to do this, but generally speaking they have their charity donations already made or lined up for the year, and the method by which they make them, such as sponsoring dinners, direct donation, etc. so that they can track it for the government. Over a certain amount the IRS demands receipts. Somehow I don't think they are going to take an ebay notification of win or purchase email as one. The Ebay sponsored charity donations are very strictly controlled by ebay.

yes but the seller gets the money on ebay....not ebay...so therefore the seller has to give it to ebay....i dont see that happening.
