I have been a member here for several months now and although I have an entry in the Introduction Forum, my dearest Lady Beckett said I should come over here and post one as well.

I have been interested in the lifestyle for abt 7-8 years now but I have had so few experiences as to say I would warrant being a "untrained Dom", or worse, "a wannabe", at this moment. I know that I really dont have any reference point to say "where" I am in this, but I do know that I want to learn/experience how to BE a better dom. I want to be "All that I can be", so I am here.

I have several interests, including spanking/flogging/single-tailing, waxing, and others, but again, little real life experience although I have done a few spankings and floggings now and then. The only "long term experience" I have had was an online on with a switch in lower GA, which later ended in disaster.

I have to warn you, I dont usually do forums very well because I know some "theory" but not enough to really say much, which she hates..lol But if you write to me, I do respond. It just might take a bit of time..lol

Anyway, I am trying to break the ice.

And welcome to these forums!

To be quite honest, you have, in one post, proven yourself to be of higher calibur than most "trained Doms" and "non wannabees" I have met in my 8 years online. *smile* (And the fact that Lady Beckett is in your corner is a big plus.)

Knowing what you don't know is one of the hardest and most important steps to getting good at anything. Being honest enough to admit that you don't know something in a public forum like this shows a strength of character that just can't be learned, and most Doms will quite honestly never have.

There are a number of wonderful Tops to learn the physical aspects of the life. Read everything Topcat (Lawrence) writes. I have seen this man scene, and he is a master of the craft. MizSuz is another one who deserves respect. There are others who really know their stuff, but I am sure you will sort it out after a while.

Welcome to the boards. Being willing to admit that you weren't born knowing everything puts you way ahead of many folks. Keep a beginner's mind for as long as you can.

Hey proudsub..Yeah I read the forums that I am actively doing something in. As I stated before, I dont do forums very well in general..but I do poke my nose in and read stuff if it catches my attention. I am kinda like a impulse shopper..if it gets my attention I will look..if its a long drawn out discussion, I will probably look but loose interest after reading several postings..just me

I am happy to say that this coming Tues, Aug 24 will see me re-connected online at my new place, so I will be a bit more active on here hopefully!
