Does anybody make hand made floggers? Do you take specifications and tailor it to individual customers?

Hi:

These are the sites where i got some very inexpensive floggers.

I am not a collector of the top names, but Sharon does make them to your specs and prices are reasonable:

You can also try Sir Leather Toys. they made the one pictured on my profile. The final product has the tails trimmed even though. The price was extremely reasonable. Even though it was tweaked to my specifications.

I have made and sold several handmade floggers. Mostly out of elk hide or beaver.

They are not the most beautiful things in the world, but they get the job done. I will takes some pictures and post them.

Ok, if this worked, I made all the floggers in this picture. I have plans for the dragons tail across the top but have never built one. for size comparason, that is a 24' steel ruler across the very top

I can make pretty much anything you want, but I prefer working in suede and leather. My friend Kiohazard explained how he made some "vegan" floggers out of rope and synthetics that are very easy and cheap.

If you have any desire to learn how yourself, there are resources out there to help you. Mostly what you will need is the leather or material you want for the tresses, a core (optional), and something like upholstery tacks to fix the material to the core. A sharp knife, hammer and long nose pliers are the only tools you need.

I have made some very simple, yet effective floggers from ropes before. If using poly (no pun intended), you need to singe the ends to keep them from unravelling. If using cotton rope, you need to lash the ends using some thin string (sewing thread or floss will work for that). Yyou can add to them by making a tight knot at the ends to give a little extra pop.

Of course, commercially made floggers are available in a wide variety of lengths and thicknesses and prices, and since I retail those items, I also generally use them, unless I find Myself in a pinch and in need of one and all I have available is rope.

I make Beaver and elkhide floggers. I can customize the length a little... up to about 24" long. Most of the beavers are various shades of brown, but for more money, I can buy black ones. They take about a week to make after I collect all the materials

I know this post is "old", but just want to inform that I do make handmade floggers (amongst others), and I have made many, customized especially.
I have been doing handmade leatherwork for more than 10 years as a hobby (been in the lifestyle for 25 years), and always do my best to keep my Master happy and proud of my work when he is selling it.
If interested; Please take a look at my leatherwork-page: slavinnen's leatherwork.
