I am kinda new. I also am a geek and look at all the forum features. I have one burning question I can not get out of my mind.

What happened last May 26th at almost 2 am that brought over 5,000 users to the collarchat message boards at the same time?

What could it be?

Typically now you see anywhere from 50-150. That is fifty times as many simultaneous users.

I must know.

Moderators? Any of 'em? (Though I do think I favor #9.)

I know -- about 100 were the normal visitors here. The other 4,900 were the many personalities of that perverta weirdo.

Let us hope such is not the case... that was such a waste of his time. He could have been skateboarding with a bunch of his highschool friends.

OK I'm a geek too because I always check the amount of people logged in when I come over here too and always wondered about that. Just last week there were about two thousand logged on...the usual fifty or so that are here in the morning and the rest were guests.

I guess I missed a party that involved perverta weirdo and his/her schizo personalities?

It was also just before a holiday weekend I believe and there were quite a few fast-paced vicious threads going on at that point.

But I think glitch makes sense, too.

Perhaps the site was featured in some article or media thing...and a lot of guests stumbled in at 2 am.

Hmmmm. I used to moderate a very active (but very vanilla) community sports type site. We used similar software and I would be suprised if it was a glitch. We typically ran 150-350 people online, but after certain events (big game, etc.) it would jump up much higher. Our high is/was around 4200 during a coaching change.

I am just sure there is a story behind it. I will have to make up my own in my head. :)

2000 people hitting the server at once. I doubt the site could take such an impact of people.

You didn't miss anything there are a few perverta's here still. If you read the post's carefully you can tell who has many names verses who doesn't.

Hey; i have morphed my nick but i always leave a trail of breadcrumbs to the old one so people who frequent the boards can recognise me. Those who are more casual might not care enough to figure it out.

And i have lost my beloved handcuffs again...*sigh*. These paddles do nothing for me. LOL.
