It took tons and tons of repeated soakings to get the color to be like I wanted, and even then the blue is not very noticable, the purple is nice, though it left my hair very very stiff and tangly where I had put it in then braided, and the other side I braided then sprayed. It's cute but it's not worth the cost or effort to do again.

Manic panic shows even on black hair... its a little pricier but so worth it

VL I've seen like 5 revies saying manic won't work on dark hair, some of them were people from this site. Manic also says you need to bleach your hair, to get optimal results and I refuse to damage my hair by bleaching it. I take great pride in the fact that my hair is almost virgin hair, since I don't style it, using gel or blow dryer it, or put harsh chemicals in it like dyes and perms, and I don't ever intend to.

Manic Panic will not give you the full, shrill colors on dark hair, but you will get that with nothing. It will give you nice highlights, though. You can see what I mean on some of those pictures: Manic Panic

Actually certain spray colors will give you bright and vibrant, The purple in my hair is quite nice and vibrant. And you could supposedly even brush the stiffness out and the color will still be vibrant. Daddy has wanted me to try p unk colors and do a little bit of the punk look for years and I've said no. So he's quite happy that I have finally relented to try it. Also, in our relationship He also do n't have any say what I do to my body and with my hair either, so even if he didn't like it he can't do anything about it. my hair is pretty dark and the only way blue would show up is with bleach. red and colors near it will show up a little bit in dark hair without lightening but more "unstable" colors like blue and green usually require SOME lightening. i had some really good spray color that showed up REALLY well, uh... it was that silver can with the weird face on the front? it was pretty nice but made your hair stiff and would flake out when it was dry =p haha if you want really bright blue, you're going to have to lighten. just the way it is.

nah I am fine with a light silvery blue, looks much cooler with my color.
