ORIGINAL: SomethingCatchy So the question is. How do you get a stubborn man to see a doctor? I know I can't force him to do anything, and I know I can't nag him either. But is there some sly way of going about it that I don't know about? As you've already said, you can't force him to go against his will. However, I can tell you what worked with my Dad, who had severe pain and bleeding from colorectal cancer for approximately two years before He bothered to tell me about any of it and after that it took me another six months to convince Him to see a specialist. I got fed up with trying to reason with Him, getting angry and pleading, so one day I made the appointment close to His work during His usual lunch time, paid for it up front and told Him to be there. I think by then He was just fed up with the pain, so He went. I hope your friend will listen to you and get himself checked out. Good luck.
