I know I was shocked that 'The Secretary' was shown on basic cable here -- but when I happened to see it, it was in the evenng on channel with a 'rep' for being 'adult content'. But Lifetime -- the queen of cheesy chick-fliks channel -- just ran a movie adaptiion of "The Story of O' here during the day. I didn't get to watch it myself cuz I hadda run out, damnit, but I can't imagine it's not going to have a plot from the book by the same name. Everyone knew it was a 'sick, twisted' book back in the day, like the works of Marquis de Sade So I have to ask myself, what the f**k? Maybe we are more accepted.and known about by 'society at large' than we here into D/s sometimes suspect. Maybe we're just considered and rejected' as an option for expressing the average joe's sex life.. Apparently not every man is into bjs, after all. Some find it a big snooze I guess. This community recently had one of the politicos swept up for jail in Ohio was 'discovered' to have had 'sado-masochist' porn on his home pc. The newspaper here ran stories about it -- you'd think he'd been caught slaughtering chickens or something. The DA wanted to back out of his plea agreement, for the love of Mike, even though if I recall this guy was caught embezzling, not sexally harrassing other workers, etc. I'm going to suspend belief till I happen to hear 'vanilla' people' in Cleveland commenting on the movie "The Story of O' -- I'll keep you guys posted. What happens in Cleveland stays in Cleveland, however.-- I'd be interested in hearing what your 'community standards' about 'what's obsence' may have changed to suit those of us 'into D/s'. candystripper
