3 marine jokes, offered in the brotherly tradition of interservice ribbing

What is Marine an acronym for?
Muscles Are Required, Intelligence Not Essential

Why does the Army have german shepherds guarding its bases while the Navy has Marines?
Army got first choice

There was a base where members from all branches of service as well as civilians were posted. Therefore, any announcements including a specific time had to be made in such a way that all people could understand what time was meant. For example, an announcement might go something like this:
Tonight's movie is "The Sound of Music" - showtime to follow
for you civilians and Air Force personnel, it starts at 6pm
for those of you in the Army, thats 1800 hours
for you Navy and Coast Guard people, thats 4 bells
and for you Marines, thats when the big hand is on the 12 and the little hand is on the 6

please feel free to respond in kind

Hey marines!

(Moderators, please excuse this bump, but I really think a reply by marines would be nice and I think this may have been buried ubder the cat jokes.)

(thanks I will- I ment to get back to this...)

So I am in the head one day, and this sailor comes in as I am leaving, and comments

"You know, In the Navy they teach us to wash our hands after using the head!"

"yeah? well in the Corps, They teach us not to piss on our fingers.."
