BlackSakura -> Suggestions for making something like this (11/28/2008 9:26:03 PM)

Does anyone have any suggestions for making or creating something such as this:
http://www.extremerestraints.com/the-trap-bondage-device_1773.html

Basically, I need something for restraining a guy in a position such as this that’s not going to cost 600 bucks!

get an ab  lounge and cut out the mesh bottom and add some padding and viola. nearly like it for less. or get 4 peices of wood add padding and comfey fabric use a staple gun to attach... and a peice for the back cut a large enough neck hole for the person id say their neck size plus 3 or so inches...screw in eye hooks by some chain. use cuffs and drill slots to hang the legs over the top of it instead of through with either rope or teathers.=\
i really cant suggest more until you tell me price range and available tools.

Get a piece of plywood to use at the head of your bed. Screw in some O-rings spaced across the width.
Attach rope or chain. Put cuffs on your boy and attach the rope or chain as appropriate. You could even use a spreader bar attached with chain or rope to two of the rings for the boy's legs to go over.

Holy crap, I can't believe they actually charge $650 for that.  You could buy a 3/4" sheet of MDF and a handful of hardware for less than $50 and make two of these.

If you don't want to go the Bob Vila route, wrist cuffs and thigh cuffs with a spreader bar would do accomplish the same thing.

Also, erm, rope. Although it might not be as comfortable, it'd be relatively simple to tie someone not too differently than that. Less than $5.

You could make half a set of stocks, attach eye bolts to the top, then attach a chain from them to thighcuffs just above each knee.

If a something more rigid is needed then replace the chains with something like a spreader bars , rigidly attach 2 spreader bars to the stocks to replace the chains.
one 8 foot 2X10 , hinge and hasp isn't that costly.

something like this

Find a handy sub who would be willing to build one in exchange for spending some time in it? [8D]

Otherwise, a collar with rings on either side, used to hold the wrists by the neck.  Rope to secure the knees to the elbows. More rope to pull the ankles towards the wrists.

Or, spreader bar behind the knees, with rope or cuffs used to pull the knees towards the end of the bar. Pull it back towards a leather chest harness or upper-body shibari.

Lots of other possibilities depending on exactly how immobile you want it to be, how much access, and what you have to work with...

The device that BlackSakura asks for suggestions to build, is of a simple design and construction. It would be easy enough for girl to construct but dependent upon the material that were available.
One could easily take a child's bed and add two arms to the foot of the bed and stocks to the arms. Setting up the chains would be just as easy.
Girl just took one look at the device and has already taken it apart.
Something more of challenge would be some of the devices found on the site InfernalMachines.
