XstilettosX -> BDSM law (12/2/2008 2:46:47 PM)

I know that some states/countries have uptight laws regarding BDSM/sex/fetish activity.I was wondering if there is a website with this info?I'm mostly interested in laws for the New England area.But other places would be interesting too.I know in my state(MA) pretty much everything cool (even laws outside of this nature) is illegal.Even tattooing was illegal till a few years ago!ProDommes get tried as hookers in court.Our state recently wasted  money on a "crack down" of dominatrixes useing Craig's List.In my neighboring state of RI almost anything goes behind closed doors.I think the same might apply to NY and CT?What's the deal with ME,NH,and VT?

I'd start at the National Coalition for Sexual Freedom website... I'm not sure what it is.. might be ncsexualfreedom

PS Are there any organizations working to protest these anti-fun laws?

You can find the NCSF at http://www.ncsfreedom.org/  But they tend to follow specific cases, not the entirety of state law.

The most onerous laws that affect BDSM are state spousal abuse laws, which define all impact play (even that which is consensual) as illegal.  And given that we are not a sympathetic constituency to either party, I do not expect there to be a BDSM exception to those laws anytime soon.
