as long as the wedding doesn't end up in a snow storm...well, I mean...if Greedy and Pirate would relocate the whole wedding to Wales then even that could be an option...

okay...okay...

i have been chained in a basement in Kentucky and i was allowed one hour of internet time as a reward for doing something...we dont need to share...on this thread....

Red and Kali...Both of you gave some wonderful advice..It just became very quickly noticeable that a Courthouse was just not going to be
A) large enough to hold all who desired to attend on their open invitation
B) was going to leave a reception overwhelming to plan for those who couldn't squeeze into the courthouse.
C) that everyone going to attend at the courthouse was going to have to get through the Metal Detectors along with everyone else who has business at the court that day..

That is why I suggested a Change of venue and the Official. More space and an easier airport for people to get flights through.

Sooooo...Outside of the Plunderer of her Hearts flight...several of us are more than willing to step up and take all planning off their plate. tulip has found a Potential Outside Site that will Provide It's own Flower gift for the Wedding...I have a Notary who can perform the ceremony, Holly is making arrangements with Greedy for her dress and I know Gwyn is poised to do any alterations that may be needed..though Greedy is a tiny little thing. Bride and Groom shall be transported to their wedding and whisked away again..even if we have to rent a Car to do it..and give us half a chance I am sure we can find/arrange a room for a reception for which I will cook my assets off.

We would love for them to have nothing to do but get the license and get dressed that day...and I know we who are plunging in to pull this together want them to enjoy every second of this and cherish the memories. It is my hope that Greedy's last memories of this country will be ones of the wonderful day when her Pirate Hoisted her Flag over his ship and whisked her and her heart away from us as many of her friends looked on in tears of joy.

Poen,

I totally and completely understand and have much love and warm fuzzies for everything that is getting done. I have seen a few weddings that I was a part of in my consulting days that I didn't think could happen. So, I understand the power of teamwork that can put together an event that is out of this world. I'm sure that this "motley crew" will do no less, lol. I just felt that the other side of the coin needed to be thrown out there as well. I'm all for a ceremony that will be amazing and allow us to not only support the sweet couple, but will also allow those who haven't met, to meet. But, I know that sometimes the couple can get carried out with the tide, and what they wanted, is lost somewhere. That's all I wanted to put out there, to make sure they don't get lost in the shuffle.

Now... I've told Greedy that my dad sends his love to her, but also his regrets that he will not be making it to the wedding. Since his recent bout of pneumonia, he's a little nervous about taking trips in the middle of winter time, with all the cooties that sit inside an airplane, etc. So... hopefully, DaddyBoo will be joining me to FL, but that remains to be seen. If not, it'll be me, flying down on the plane with the red flag flying off the wing.
