You get a warm welcome and a lot of fun!

Hi gang,
Many newcomers start threads asking how to go about visiting people they meet her on CM and what other people experience. I also see threads asking if all these CMers are “real” or involved in BDSM in “real life”. I open this thread to share my experience and invite you to share your own real life experiences with CMers or ask questions.

When everhope’s 2 week vacation came due, she asked to spend it with me. I welcomed her visit and looked forward to meeting her in person. We had been chatting it up for several months so it was more like old friends visiting than the jitters of a new date.

She flew in from Cali last Wed and the visit has been a lot of fun. Today some of the CM girls like tulip and poenkitten had conspired with everhope to hook up at the Woodshed dungeon in Orlando while I was napping. I thought I was watching TV but the sandman snuck up on me from behind. GreedyTop offered to take the heat for everhope and call so the phone would wake me up. Anyway, the girls did a good job so we took our adventure to the Woodshed last night.

At the dungeon we were greeted by leakylee and given a tour. It is a nice place and the members are a charming and friendly group of people with good vibes. It was really nice meeting our fellow CMers. It was a nice sized crowd and 11 of them (13 counting us) were from Collarme last night.

I am not saying there aren’t fakes online or that enjoying an “online only” experience isn’t valid. But, I am saying to those of you that are new or only have online experience so far, if you had been with us last night, you would have been warmly welcomed by your fellow CMers into a friendly and fun environment.

Thanks again to my fellow CMers for the warm welcome you gave everhope and I in Orlando.

I'm really glad you got to enjoy the get together, RS. Hopefully, there will be some details on the private time, as well as the public, to be forthcoming. (That's just Me being nosey.)

While it doesn't necessarily have anything to do with the event you are talking about in the above, I did want to make a comment. Here in My little corner of the world, most of the people that I know for the things I do away from the computer, also have profiles here. The majority of the folks in the local group are listed. None of them are any different in real time than they are right here on these boards and what they've written about themselves.

So, to the naysayers, if you don't believe that a lot of us are who we say we are here, try meeting us away from the screen. Most of us are a lot of fun, but you'll never know it sitting in front of your computer.

yes, Tulip and i conspired while Sir was napping. Greedy even offered to help by calling and waking him with the ringing of the phone. i had plan A thruD formed in hopes that no matter what he would say we would attend the Woodshed Sat. night. hooray for plan B! we met Tulip (so beautiful inside and out!), her friend Tatpierced (nice, warm and smiley, Poenkitten and her Master (omg the absolutely warmest nicest people).
meeting leakylee was an unexpected plus! in fact, leakylee was the one we were filling out all the paperwork with for admission to the dungeon. the look on her face when she read on Sir's form ResidentSadist was priceless! the only regrettable part of the night was that Tulip was on her way to another party and our time together was short.

i have been told more than once (vanilla and other friends) how brave that i am for making this trip to Florida to meet someone who i had only chatted with on the phone. i see no bravery in meeting a man who i chatted with long enough to know no harm would comed to me...tied up, gagged, blindfolded, or simply driving to orlando to meet other CM members. if you are who you are and the same as you are online....there is no reason not to meet people who you click with!

Everhope/RS, thank you for sharing. I love hearing all about positive experiences!

To you naysayers, Lady Pact and Resident Sadist offer excellent advise.

All I can say is that I personally had the pleasure of meeting and reconnecting with some wonderful people at Season's Beatings. Great event, great people, all as genuinely real in person, as they present themselves here on CM and on Fetlife.

Online is an excellent tool, but it doesn't come close to matching the real thing.

i do feel exceptionally blessed to be spending 2 weeks with Sir. it is giving us time to know each other inside and out. it is awesome that the click we felt online and the phone is as good (better) in person.
i was so happy yesterday when Sir got to meet a dear friend of mine who moved to his area. always a bonus when someone you like likes your friends...today we ran around doing stuff we all do to keep our lives happening...happy me and beyond content.

Thank you for sharing such a wonderful time in Orlando. I love hearing about the joy people have found in real life after meeting from here. I think anyone who hopes to find someone from here can appreciate that there really are living, breathing, loving people out there. May your happiness continue to grow!!!!

Hope and I are both outgoing people and it has been a very nice experience for us and our friends. Not only have we been having fun with each other and comllarme friends here in Florida but, hope used to live in Daytona Beach so we are seeing some of her old favorite places. We looked at her old house/apt that is right on the beach. It is in the heart of Daytona Beach next to Pirate's Cove. I live near the water but I can only imagine how much fun it must have been to walk out the door right into the heart of Daytona Beach.

Also a friend of hers from Cali moved to Deland 2 years ago. We spent the evening with her friend last night and tomorrow we visit with my ex slave up in Flagler Beach. It has been a very nice experience from the warm and intimate moments to the social interactions.

Great thread!

Personally, i have met many here from CM both in the pursuit of an intimate relationship and in the spirit of friendship. All my experiences have been positive in regards to meeting wonderful people and i am looking forward to another visit in 2 weeks with someone very dear to me from here.

i have been to several functions in the Charlotte area and have always managed to find the CMers and it is such a blast!

So yes, i would say to the newcomers that behind most of these pixels are amazing people
