"and i think to myself, it's a wonderful world."

Seeing as how America is 0-3 in wars against concepts (poverty, drugs and now terror), it really doesn't bother me. Its just going to add to the conservative let down later on.

We didn't declare war on intolerance. Hell, intolerance has always been a great political tool and no career politian would ever give that fall back up. Lyndon B Johnson declared a war on poverty - which will fail as long as captialism runs unchecked. Ronald Reagan officially declared a war on drugs - and for some strange reason tellign true drug addicts to "just Say No" didn't work.. George W. Bush declared the war on terrorism - This was just stupid. Terrorism is the violent expression of any extreme philosophy. So as long as people are allowed the right to bear arms and free speech, you know how that one is going to end up. The one who declared the unnofficial war on communism wasn't a president, but Senator McCarthy, who might as well had been president with the political power he wielded.
