I have a random question, but it may be pertinent.

While driving about 1,000 miles (roundtrip) this past weekend (over the course of 3 days), and listening to the same handful of CDs and radio in my car, I was wondering, does anyone use specific music, or perhaps a specific CD to "set the mood" or to tease/tantalize the sub.

Basically, does music play any kind of role in your relationships?

I find that beat, rhythmic music is effective for setting the mood. However, since I'm a '50s-'60s addict, I cannot listen to this "mood' music outside of scene.

Heavy bass beats (Arabic music), industrial (NIN), certain techno, certain metal, goth music (Like Type O or Concrete Blonde), etc.

Yeah, anything with a really good rhythm, haha.

But I think it also depends on what type of subby mood you're trying to put them in - super sexual or transcendental or what. There is music that's more physical and then music designed to play more with losing yourself in emotion and I guess both are very effective depending on what you're trying to do.

I'm kind of a weirdo but the songs that always made me feel subby were songs with a lot of movement in them... imagine dancing like... what do they call it? New age dancing, free form dancing... something like that (I know nothing about dancing). But music that makes me want to move my body in a really fluid way when I listen to it.

I like 'zero sum' by NIN a lot, and 'Ghosts - 9' (probably the wrong name). Rofl. I like Jimi Hendrix sometimes. I like Filter. Fiona Apple sometimes. 'Somebody to Love'. Rofl. A lot of instrumentals. Marcy Playground. Sneaker Pimps - Six Underground. VAST, sometimes. I dunno why in particular with this music and I doubt that except in the NIN case people will agree with me much, but those tend to put me in the mood. ^_^
