I get asked about my wardrobe a lot. I don't entertain those questions unless it's to a prospective client (and then only to say "yes, I have a full fetish wardrobe" the end).

I have some spiked heel, lace up knee boots that literally cramp my calves to lace them - 6" spike with NO platform. I've been known to play in full fetish, in sweats, in a business suit, and only wearing fuzzy monster slippers. It just depends on my mood.

I'm pretty notorious for being oblivious to hints about my wardrobe until they are so blatant that they can't be ignored, then I use it against them in some way. <shrug> I'm just wired that way.

My wardrobe is devoid of spiked heels, as I find them extremely uncomfortable, heels yes I do have regular height heels. My thought here was why should I torture my body? Laughing, he is the sub/slave who enjoys the discomfort. Yes, I have fetish wear, but none that I can not wear and swing my flail with comfort. One of the last events I went to netted a sweet little male who said he was "allll ready to surrender" then asked where my black leathers were and my thigh high spike heeled boots were? When I said not my style. He was not only surprised, but made the decision that I couldn't possibly be a real Domme. I just wondered if others have had the same experience and what they thought of the stereotyping. Sundew

Just like Suz, I don't bother with such questions unless I know I am speaking with a client. Then the standard answer comes out about the wardrobe.

And I don't put my spiked heels (in any form, shoes, boots whatever) if I can help it, kind of a for paying clientele only thing as they are far too uncomfortable to play in for any long period of time. I will torture myself for no man.[;)] Even a pro session may start out with me having him ritualistically removing my foot attire and kissing my feet before I start in with other things.

I prefer to play in stocking feet or barefoot.

And Sundew, real dommes can wear whatever the fuck they want to when they play. And let no man ever tell you crap like that, sounds like an HNG fantasy boy.

I love three piece suits. Oh I do! With neck ties, double windsor, leather suspenders, pretty black lace up the front soft leather boots. So I really wouldn't fit the "mold" of how a Domme is "supposed" to dress for the boys. lol But then, I don't fit the mold for a whole lot of things a Domme is "supposed" to do according to the new wave of subbie boys these days. lol

In fact just today iwill was saying that in conversation he said to someone else "if you figure out her definition of protocol, let me know". And I told him that the only protocol he needed to know, was the protocol of Lady Beckett. Memorize it. [;)]

Wicked smile, My Scottish Domme friend agrees with you, no spikes with a kilt. So do you session in your wool kilt? Thinking the follow through from the stroke might give observers an interesting view. How about the leather part? Do you ever have a submissive ask if you have black leather outfits? And I still would like to know, if it isn't too painful (wicked smile) how did you hurt your arm? or was it your wrist? Still have a cast on? Sundew

Wear them for a second. Blindfold him. Wear what you want.

My favorite fet-wear is my kilt with no shirt on.

I have never had anybody complain about follow through from the stroke.

The leather part? You mean the sporran? Not sure what the question is.

I have black leather pants and stuff, but I usually wear those to dinner or dancing.

I tore a ligament in my thumb at work, and the cast is on until a week from this coming Monday.

I LOVE THEM.

I am not a Domme and I don't even play one on TV, so excuse me for butting in, but I do wear 8 1/2" heels at my day job (3" 3/4" platform) with spiky heels. I wear these about five hours a night and perform random acts of yoga in them while I'm at my day job and when I'm freelancing I wear them as much as possible, also doing random acts of yoga. I secretly collect spiky, shiny heels at home, but haven't worn them much out and about to tell you the truth. I wear mostly birkenstocks when it's warmer out and mostly boots (usually spiky!!) when it starts to get chilly or rainy down here in the swamp. To answer the comfort question- I can do pretty good round-offs in my work shoes and could easily out run a burglar. They were not this comfy at first (I have 4 years of total experience in spiky, shiny, heel wearing) but I have adapted my posture and now buy the best I can afford. As for my non-platform shoes, the highest I can go without needing a walker is approx. 4". Anything above 3 1/2" is a bit uncomfy for me.

I have a pair of boots that I absolutely love! My daughter calls them my "witch boots" lol, but they are black leather, just the right cut for wearing with jeans, lace up the front, and have a soft square toe. So there's lots of toe room. Even when I wear heels, I have to have that peek-a-boo toe. I can't do that lonnng pointy toe thing! My feet don't do "torture" for anybody!

I started wearing men's shoes for work cause I was walking and standing for 8 hours. Now I think they're great. It's not easy to find a small enough size lengthwize but the extra width is perfect. I've worn heels for weddings and such but I seriously dislike them. When the dancing starts I abandon them somewhere. I buy the cheapest pair I can find so I don't regret losing them too much. :) But I don't mind spending a bit for boots.
