my dad has a round metal tin that says Mentho Nova on it.. its an ointment/salve that helps with burns colds chapped skin and other things.. the tin is quite old and has rust on it so most of its hard to read. the cost of it at the time was 35 cents  the only other info i have from the tin is : Mentho- Nova Company Perry Hall Maryland 21128 the net weight is 27 grams.. the tin is almost empty and its very usefull i'm just wondering when it stopped being made and if there's any more of this stuff out there.. and if so where could i find it..
but it seems as tho no one has heard of this stuff and all my searching has brought up an ad from 1927.

if anyone can help me i'd appreciate it .

You might try substituting Bag Balm.

Another HUGE winner in my chapped skin arsenal Burt's Bees Hand Salve. And, their body butter is to DIE for. Worth every cent because it lasts forever.

That company obviously isn't in existence any more but there are plenty of menthol salves out there. Another fan of Burt's here.

No recommendation not already mentioned but found a link to an antique news paper from 1927. Sell 12 boxes of Mentho Nova and get free wrist watch fro the U.S. Supply co of Greenville PA.

Somehow I think the stuff is obsolete. Or the company got sold and absorbed ( pun intended) into a much larger company.
