I have been looking thru past threads, trying to get information on play involving the use of Tens Units, and things of that nature. I ran across very little information post in forum od collarme back in May 2005 and a few from 2004.

But none stated where to get more information. Let alone good information about the do and don'ts of using such a toy. So i'm hoping to possibly get some information on this subject from anyone.. everyone that has experianced the use of such play toys.

I actually got my first tens unit because of an injury I had in 1993 to my left arm. I was given very minimal instructions as to usage of the unit.

I experimented with it & played with the settings, if it hurt, I stopped & tried something different.

As to applications in the sense of BDSM... Muwahahaha, I didn't even consider this item until a goofy friend of mine actually attached the damn thing to his balls & turned it on. He let out a yelp & I got a devious smile on my face. The tens unit went into the play bag right after I stopped using it for physical therapy.

If you can't find info anywhere I can attest that experimenting is relatively harmless. Just don't attach the thing to vital areas (i.e. heart, temples or internally) Common sense really.

Hello There,
I've actually seen tens units that have insertables for vaginal and rectal penetration. Since they've made them specifically for that purpose those attachemnts are pretty safe for insertion.
I have had a dungeon friend use the insertables on me once and it wasn't anything to write home about for me. I think it was because I was also being flogged and standing up bound with my hands over my head. My Sister on the other hand absolutely loves tens insertables and says it's given her the most powerful orgasms she's ever had.
Chriopractors use them on their patients daily to loosen up sore muscles.
The way they work is by stimulating your muscles to contract each time they send the electric zap.
My Master's favorite place to put the pads is on the inside of your legs just above the ankles. We have no unit to do this with yet, but he says it makes the muscles contract up your legs and into your vaginal muscles. He said it's the best spot he's found yet.
I'd also like to say since it is a mild workout for your muscles you should not leave them in one muscle area longer than 15 minutes.
Overall they are pretty safe, very pleasurable, and as long as not turned up too strong are wonderful things overall.

Yeah I got one after my back surgery in 2000. 2 of them. 1 is a regular one... setting as high as 10.... with 9volt battery.... the other.. digital.. much higher settings... still 9volt.. depending on how fast to run down battery.. lol

So I was wondering about the BDSM fun with this. I've seen it mentioned a few times.. and was wondering about the downfalls.

Well I knew there had to be someone who didn't like it.. so i'm eager to find out if the hype is what it sounds like.. or like you stated. Either way, its always fun to just try something different. Thanks for your imput as well.

I am sure there are many devices used in many ways... the reason I suggested to not insert anything was because they are beginners. Answer me this... does anyone really want a beginner jamming something inside of them & flipping a switch?

Take time, experiment on less vital areas & once you become familiar with the unit & the various settings, expand your experimentation little by little. What's the fun of trying it all out in the first night... new toys become old far too quick that way.

I agree with this. I also know that having a setting on 10 the first time is not going to work.. Starting off slow... working my way higher... makig it something to look forward to .. not a everytime affair. As you said, new toys become old far too quickly. And as much as I am learning now, that i thought I knew.. but didn't.. this is going to be one hell of a ride..
