Hi, FP. I had "severe" neck problems once, but they were caused by something that I won't mention here. So bad, that I had to seek medical attention, and physical therapy for quite some time...but it was worth it! Also had whiplash, due to a car accident, and the warm neck packs were like heaven. The pain always returned after the heat was removed though. I use acetaminophen, extra strength, which is 500 mg. Two of them are the recommended dose, for the more severe pain. You might try a higher dose from what you're taking now, as it shouldn't be too much. Extra strength, OTC arthritis meds are 1000 mg for a regular dose too, from what I've read on many labels. When I was younger, I slept with two, and sometimes even three pillows. Don't know if it's the age thing, but I now only use one. It's MUCH more comfortable for me, and is better on the neck. This year, I also bought a mattress topper, made from that memory foam stuff. I decided to purchase the pillow too...and there's nothing better, for me. Bought a set for my dad too, although he can't get used to the pillow, and he gave it back to me. I tried two again...and it's too much. This memory foam pillow really hugs the head and neck. You might try one, for support and comfort. I got mine at Sam's for under $30. I hope you continue to get better. K
