My Star To Lead Me Home
Through out my Warrior life,
Many battles have I fought.
My sword my only companion,
And a river of tears it has brought.
My body is covered,
With the scares of my life.
But the pain of loneliness,
Is the one that cuts like a knife.
Many woman have I known,
And some were quite dear.
But to have never known true love,
Is this Warriors only fear.
Then one day,
Much to my surprise.
I came across an angel.
With a bright sparkle in her eyes.
Her name was Star.
And it seemed only right.
For her smile light up the sky,
On the darkest of lonely nights.
It did not take long to love her,
For she was a treasure to behold.
For the price of a smile,
My heart to her was sold.
But as the God’s evil joke would have it.
Mine’s she was not meant to be.
Because her heart belonged to another,
Across the freedom sea.
So if it be true that home is where he heart is.
Then no matter where I may roam,
I’ll always search the night sky.
For my Star to lead me home.
