Hello, Im wondering how dangerous eating the brown stuff is? I have done it many times (my own stuff)
but I havent felt sick. I have read it could be very dangerous [:(] is that true?

porcelain26 -> RE: Scat question (12/17/2008 2:07:08 PM)

Basically, from your mouth to your rectum is one long, hollow tube. Nothing within that tube is sterile (hence the reason's it's so easy to get food poisioning, etc). So, whatever comes out of your rectum is naturally teaming with bacteria...extremely harmful bacteria for that matter. The bacteria within your colon is called 'flora'. That flora is suppose to be there to help break down waste so that your body can get rid of it. However, taken outside of it's natural environment, that flora becomes toxic. Hepatitis A, E. Coli, Salmonella....all of those nasty bugs you hear about people getting sick and dying from, are readily found fecal material.

I don't care how many precautions you take, how clean your colon is before you eat something in order to form stool...there is NOTHING safe about eating fecal material. However, what you choose to do in the privacy of your own home is your own business.

Basically, from your mouth to your rectum is one long, hollow tube. Not really, but I see where you're going with it. Nothing within that tube is sterile (hence the reason's it's so easy to get food poisioning, etc). You get food "poisoning"...which is a misnomer in itself...from contaminated or spoiled food, not from inside the "tube" itself. So, whatever comes out of your rectum is naturally teaming with bacteria...extremely harmful bacteria for that matter. The bacteria within your colon is called 'flora'. No, the bacteria naturally occuring in the colon is called "normal flora".  It is not "extremely harmful".  That flora is suppose to be there to help break down waste so that your body can get rid of it. However, taken outside of it's natural environment, that flora becomes toxic. No, it stays the same, it does not suddenly develop toxicity.  It can, however, grow and multiply and cause skin infections, such as bedsores or abcesses if it gets through a break in the skin of some kind.Hepatitis A That's a virus, E. Coli, one strain normally lives in the colon, part of the normal flora, is a common cause of bladder infections and urinary tract infections, caused by improper wiping, or, in the elderly, from lack of proper nursing care such as infrequent diaper changes.  Now, the E Coli 0157:H7 is the one found in contaminated meat, and causes severe diarrhea and hemorraging and can even lead to death. Salmonella.usually caused by eating contaminated poultry...all of those nasty bugs you hear about people getting sick and dying from, which are called pathogens or abnormal flora are readily found fecal material. Readily?  How about occasionally, in sick patients.

I don't care how many precautions you take, how clean your colon is before you eat something in order to form stool...there is NOTHING safe about eating fecal material. However, what you choose to do in the privacy of your own home is your own business.  [/quote

Your own will never be as dangerous to you as someone else's.  There are many who have practiced scat play with no ill effects but disease should always be considered.  A person may not know that they have been exposed to hepatitis and may be carrying it without it becoming full blown.

porcelain26 -> RE: Scat question (12/18/2008 6:57:18 AM)

I had a really long post...but I decided against it. Afterall, you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink.

Everything in my original post is true (the original version of this post, pointed it all out, too, but wasn't done in the kindest spirit). If you have more questions about this topic, or if you're concerned about disease and illness. You can go look up the information yourself on a mirade of websites.

WebMD.com
medicinenet.com
The Centers for Disease Control

Or just google "Flora in the intestines", and you can see for yourself what you're putting yourself at risk for.

The main point is that WITHIN your colon, the bacteria that are there are not generally harmful. Outside of your colon, they can be extremely dangerous and cause serious illness and even death.

NuevaVida -> RE: Scat question (12/18/2008 7:59:41 AM)

Except viruses like Hepatits can only be contracted if the person carrying the scat has it.  It doest not just appear in feces on its own.

In the studies I did prior to having to injest my former owner's, I came up with the same thing windchymes did.

To the OP, it is indeed a risky act.  Many do it without any issues.  Some people do have issues, however.  Things to consider are the heath of your partner, any meds your partner is taking, the frequency this activity will be conducted, and to do your own research and inform your partner of your findings.  This will allow you both to assess what the risk is, and whether it is an acceptible risk for you or not.

SteelofUtah -> RE: Scat question (12/18/2008 2:34:49 PM)

Okay How stupid is this Argument?

Look, Poo Has Bacteria, That bacteria can be harmful. The Eating of Scat can be potentially harmful. As is just about EVERYTHING we do in this lifestyle.

You wanna know just HOW harmful it can be go to your Doctor and tell them. We have this Septic Tank and everyone once in awhile it backs up and floods the yard I'm afraid my child or my friends child might accidently injest feces at some point what are the dangers in this. Most Doctors LOVE fielding these kinds of questions.

Come On People arguing over just HOW dangerous it has the potential to be is STUPID.

Yes it is highly dangerous to ingest someone else's turds. Why? One word - enzymes.

Enzymes are powerful things. They break down the food in your alimentary canal or digestive system.

Enzymes are the active agent in venom - cobra venom, rattlesnake venom, coral snake venom, tarantula spider venom (spiders are the most venomous creature in the animal kingdom).

Consider that a king cobra doesn't kill itself if it bites itself. But bitten by another cobra and the bite will be fatal.

Your own enzymes don't kill you. Those of anyone and everything else can kill you, or make you seriously ill.

Kids can die from ingesting dogshit. Dogs eat their own shit and don't suffer ill effects.

You want to do something less risky? Try to catch an Eastern Diamondback rattlesnake with your bare hands. Unlike it's Wrstern cousin, the Eastern Diamondback doesn't always inject venom when it bites and you need 20mg more venom to be injected for it to be fatal. It can make you ill of course, seriously ill, but you have better odds of surviving a rattlesnake bite without ill effects than ingesting someone else's turds.

Hope this clarifies things a little.

I didn't need websites, thank you.  I actually am a medical lab technologist, certified by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists and have worked in microbiology departments of hospitals and a very large and reputable international medical lab and research institute.   Therefore, I felt qualified to hand out the (correct) information.

porcelain26 -> RE: Scat question (12/19/2008 2:11:42 PM)

I've got to agree that this is about the stupidest thing to argue over. Hence - I'm done now.

However, I am a registered nurse and feel very qualified to give advice on this topic, considering not only the hundreds of hours I've logged in classrooms, pouring over medical texts; but also the number of perferated colon's I've seen in my career. There's just something about watching puss and filth ooze from an abdominal incision right before it pops open that has really driven home the fact that fecal material located in any place it's not suppose to be, is highly dangerous and toxic.

SteelofUtah -> RE: Scat question (12/19/2008 6:16:56 PM)

porcelain26,

I was with you till you gave me the visual image in my mind.

Now I need to go wash my brain.

DavanKael -> RE: Scat question (12/19/2008 9:09:21 PM)

OP: If you've ingested your own many times, apparently you have an interest in scat.  Haven't you researched this at all prior?
Of course it's a high risk behavior but if you want to eat poo, rock on, and I really mean that: doesn't harm me or mine, so I don't have a problem with you doing it.  It's not my cup of tea but each unto their own.
Folks have given you a lot of feedback and such regarding potential risks.  Hepatitis is the most substantive concern I've read about but I am sure that there are tons of others.
If you want definitive answers, I'd recommend:
1)Research on-line regarding risks
2)Consult with a doctor about potential issues with the practice.  Obviously, you want a more open-minded practitioner so Planned Parenthood or a GLBT clinic may be a good bet
3)Make sure whomever's fecal matter you're ingesting has been tested for just about everything under the sun that could be communicable and check out those results in writing

Thanks for all the input. I guess I have been a bit careless about this, but for me is a real turn on, and about the most
submissive thing I can think of.

Maybee I should Microwave the stuff before I eat it? That should take care of the bad bugs that you are talking about..[X(]

SteelofUtah -> RE: Scat question (12/20/2008 11:06:21 AM)

Okay, If you are for real then you really need to talk to a Doctor.

Your thoght Process is a little eskew.

You may want to start researching. As it seems that you are just going about this all willy nilly or perhaps this is just wanker material, you really need to educate yourself about what it is that you are doing.

apiercedkitty -> RE: Scat question (12/20/2008 11:51:59 AM)

Not to be a bitch but... as an RN myself, i can tell you that ingesting shit (where it goes thru the stomach and all the wonderful inhabitants there and then on thru the intestines) and having it leak into your abdomen are so totally different that they don't even compare. Eating it means it's moving thru... having it seep into your closed abdomen means it just sits and festers... not nearly the same thing.

flag133 -> RE: Scat question (1/31/2009 5:15:49 AM)

I once had a 3 week-holiday trip to a Hazinda of a Lady (she was a practitioner) in Las Palmas and was ordered to serve as her human toilet. This was not so a good time, but i got no desease at all, only a weigtloss of 6 kg.

Sometime we have something to venture.

beargonewild -> RE: Scat question (1/31/2009 9:50:05 AM)

The potential for severe health risks are there. It's up to you to decide how risky this activity is for your own personal health and safety.

ladycirce -> RE: Scat question (2/5/2009 6:30:45 PM)

yes, it is edgy.
that is why it is fun.
dozens of people have yet to experience any ill effects from my poo, i am happy to add.

LunaVenus -> RE: Scat question (2/5/2009 7:03:03 PM)

what on EARTH is the POINT of eating that ????
What does it DO for you..That is the worse thing anyone can do other than kill someone  ???

Hello!!! Have you ever heard of ecoli bacteria ? That's what is in shit!!
Once I had a urinary tract infection where some traveled into my urethra from my anus and I had to take antibiotics to get rid of it.. That was from wiping my vagina the wrong way in the bathroom or something when i had diahrhea..

Good lord. Is everybody here NUTS?

flag133 -> RE: Scat question (2/6/2009 2:14:11 AM)

Dear LunaVenus, the e.coli reside everywhere. There risk is a question of quantity and your own resistance, e.g. restaurants are tested how many and wherein they are. Surely a little bit carefully to go - and this is not the slaves but the Mistress/Master to note.
