sure
they are alot more stricked when it comes to the dommes or doms they put up with little  you pretty much tow the line with out question or  your gone and when comes to loyalty you either are or are not no grey really they are pretty cut and dry and old fashion bdsm do see alot of them doing public expression majority are private have long term experince  tons of things that are very different for them it is not about fashion it is about being the essence of who you are and working with in that relm with a partner they are slow to pick partners

Well I can't say that is really the case with the Doms I have spoken  with in different parts of Europe and the Middle East, I find them to be very individualistic and willing to negotiate terms just like here in NA and they also range from  the sensual erotics to the strict sadists like here, what I have found is that certain  fetishes will be more prevalent  in one area than the other.

Yep Andrea, a couple of years ago now, I used to know the scene in TO a lot better than I do now, but lots still happening...for ontario listings , try http://www.ehbc.ca and click on their calendar. They cover all of SW Ontario up to Montreal. Vancouver and Calgary I believe have growing events
I have been to a few  in DC/courtesy of Black Rose, and I hear Nashville had good stuff, altho I really have wanted to get to SF for the longest time.

Im gonna try and get out to a few this year, its about time again.
Northbound have great fetish parties, if you can get thru the crowd, altho playing is not so easy.

Power Exchange just closed (they jumped the shark ten years ago anyway).

I wonder where I've been. I didn't even know PE closed, and, worse, yet, I had never heard the term "jump the shark" before. ....

Jumping the shark is a colloquialism used by TV critics and fans to denote that point in a TV show or movie series' history where the plot veers off into absurd story lines or out-of-the-ordinary characterizations, particularly for a show with falling ratings apparently becoming more desperate to draw viewers in. In the process of undergoing these changes, the TV or movie series loses its original appeal. Shows that have "jumped the shark" are typically deemed to have passed their peak.

I hadn't heard the phrase before, but now that I have, it's clear that it refers to the Happy Days episode where Fonzi took a JetSki and jumped over a fenced-in shark. That episode epitomizes the death throes of a series that has run out of steam and ideas.

When i moved to Houston some ten years ago, the scene was very active and HPEP was a large unifying organizations in which all the various groups participated.  However, eventually and unfortunately, it all fractured primarily due to personal rivalries and disagreements amongst the various leaders (this information comes from some of those who were active).  Presently, there a just a few groups that hold their membership rather tightly and the scene is more private rather than public.
