i have an embarrising problem..... i have boils on my nether regions and i have consulted in the proper showing to my loved ones but they turn their heads and belittle me about them... so i was asking is it ok to like "man handle them" or play boil tag? if so reply asap thanks!!!

I know that webmd is not always the most reliable source, but they go along with what I have heard about treating boils.

Playing youre so called boil tag can lead to permenant scaring. Rather than your family, seeing a Dr would be best so you can have the right medications, creams, and bandages needed to have the boils go away leaving as little scaring behind as possible. Other than that, knowing what caused the boils in the first place would be more helpfull for us to give you better advice and treatment options.

I had a history of boils for about 2 years. Finally went to the doctor and found out was carrying a staph infection. Have had a fairly strict hygene regimen to get rid of it along with antibiotics. If this is a chronic problem, you need to go to doctor and get it cleared up. My problem basically boiled down to staph in my skin pores. Has taken several months to get cleared up.

That staph infection stuff can be nasty.
I scractched and itchy spot on my leg and it was feeling "hot". I was treating it myself until the red line started traveling up my leg. It freaked me out, I went to the doc on a Friday afternoon, told him I had planned to wait it out the weekend. His response: "that would've landed you in the hospital stuck to an i.v.".
When in doubt with weird stuff, go to the doc.

queen, you probably have something called "Hidradenitis Suppuritiva"....make sure you get to a dermatologist and ask specifically if this is what you have (its called HS)...you need to be correctly diagnosed and treated if you have it....there is some link between HS and Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome and insulin resistance, although men get HS as well. There is no cure for HS, but you should know your options.

I actually had that problem since i was young, but its pretty much gone away. The only thing that really helped me was keeping very clean and neosporin (dont think i spelled that right). Good luck.
