greetings A/all

can someone please tell me ~

you know how you'll be reading something and it'll say something like "look *here* for the link."

how do you make the link into the little word *here*?

thanks in advance,
gemmie

I haven't figured it out yet myself.

I cheat. I go to another forum (FatWallet to be specific), and write the post there, including the link.  Then instead of posting it there, I block copy it to here, and the link and its callout transfer perfectly.

After copying the link highlight the link, and then type the word here, like this

Hi g,

Click on "reply." When the dialogue box comes up, look above the box for the formatting buttons (below the smileys).

Click on "link." A dialogue box comes up. Either type or copy and paste the URL in the top box, and give it a name in the bottom box.

Like this:

Just a Sample Link to Illustrate

Try it! Reply and practice (and anyone else who wants to practice, keeping such frivolity in this single thread).

Live well,

Tim

Though adaptations, using brackets [] instead of arrows <> will work.

Yup, Cali taught me this way!

KatyLied -> RE: quick help on a little thing (12/18/2008 1:52:42 PM)

I also recall a thread where Stephen taught some of us how to do it.

CalifChick -> RE: quick help on a little thing (12/18/2008 2:33:52 PM)

I looked for that one first, Katy, but couldn't find it.  I remembered Stephan posting the instructions, and I searched on his name, on charlotte's name...
