The stuff I usually have around often includes cock rings, vibrators (battery and/or plug in kinds), latex gloves, lube, nylon rope, a blindfold, inexpensive stockings or tights that can be discarded if need be, and leather belts that can be wrapped around a torso to provide a handy ...handle.

There's miscellaneous other stuff, but the above seems to get used the most, at least lately.
There's a cigar box with a variety of small hardware items; connectors of various sorts, d-rings, caribiners and the like.
I keep other stuff in old suit cases and lunch boxes.
If I had to travel with my rope I would consider getting a seperate bag (or maybe a twist and tie or something) for each length and labeling it, because I'd like to shave a litte bit off the time it takes me to sort out the rope when I carry it.

The floggers and clothespins haven't made it out for a while, so perhaps I should break them out sometime, now that I think of it. I don't use those things often, but it's nice to mix it up once in a while.

I used to have a nice riding crop and I'd like to get another similar to it.
That's the next toy on the list, I think.

My favorite thing to carry stuff (not just kink related stuff, but stuff in general) in now is a plastic 5 gallon bucket.
I call it my briefcase.
Not too classy, but it's easy to find stuff in it.

Ok I dont use EMT shears i hate them and in a real emergency you can hurt someone if you need a safe tool to get a subby out of rope or other things get something like this http://www.ombexpress.com/pg_3/c_296/p_KN092.aspx it is much better the blade is covered to so you wont acidently cut a subby

Well, here's what I have in my bag so far:

6 floggers, most of them short
A set of nine Delrin canes that have their own roll (easier to clean)
A drumstick case holding the Wartenburg wheel, a set of snare drum brushes, a short and a long handled strap, and a pair of OTK paddles, one wood, one leather, and the chopsticks and rabbit fur.
Two sizes of collar for casual scening
Cat collar bells and velcro strips
Package of wipes for wiping down toys
Package of hair supplies (I have tailbone length hair. I need to pin it up or let it loose and later detangle it at times during scening.)
Small pillow
Blanket
Bondage scissors

and a few personal supplies because Murphy is a sadistic sonofabitch and starting my period when I had plans to play is entirely and absolutely possible.

Just because the basic shape of an implement is the same doesn't mean there is much common ground.

First on your list for example, floggers. I have seen some collections of floggers where not one of them had more impact potential than a feather duster. Whilst My Own collection ranges from heavy suede at the lighter end to a nice metal ball chain flogger which could probably break bones if used incorrectly.

Same with canes, I favour the heavier thudier variety like the singapore and only have a couple of lighter stingy acrylics.

Whips, I go for the shorter variety such as singletails rather than the bullwhip kind... Guess this is the best place to mention the sjambok (Ball left on the end... My girl describes the feel of the imact as a delayed nuke exploding in her ass!)

I do have a light paddle that I often begin her warm up with but again heavy thud is in predominance with the heaviest being an aluminium paddle that has more than a passing resemblance in size and weight to a small cricket bat!

Rope is rope is rope, sure differing textures but the same result overall though I am not much into bondage except for aesthetic results, other than that it doesn't push My buttons so My girl doesn't get indulged in it too often. I preffer to just tell her not to move, or if I'm being kind I'll use the wrist/ankle cuffs.

Blades, well cutting is kept small and accurate, so scalpels there but more general knifeplay can range from 5" small knife, up through 10" combat into shortsword and a broadsword. I used to have a hand and a half bastard sword but it was too heavy to really play with... good for headfuck shock tactics though [;)]

The only electrics I currently have is My VW (That doesn't include the hitachi or insertable vibes, insertables are girl specific, only used on that girl and no other!). I use a mindfold (moulded blindfold) & earplugs to play with sensory dep.

And of course, when in doubt grab just about any household object and pervert it!

Edit... oh and her buttplug tail, and candles, and the wartenburg, etc.

my top 3 must haves
-Collar and leash
-some sort of whip/flogger
-rope or chain (with cuffs)

I can't imagine a play scene without at the very min atleast one of those 3 :P

Remember that candles should be paraffin, and NEVER beeswax. The beeswax burn at an incredibly higher temperature and can burn & scar human skin. Make sure your candles are paraffin.
