Status: offline 		Okay, now, put your doubts away, I have a serious question.  I know, I know, hard to believe, but it's true.

When a woman writes to you on CM, do you automatically assume she is interested in you in that way?  Whether for a potential relationship, a casual throw-down, whatever?

Does it occur to anyone that if a woman comments on something in your profile or journal, or asks a question about it, that's all it is?  Or is it pretty much a given that such a thing does not exist (and I'm just fooling myself)?

Status: offline 		I don't think that at all actually. When I get a message from a female, I assume it's about a post I've written somewhere. In fact, I'd be surprised if someone wrote me with something like 'that' in mind, because my profile states I'm taken.

Status: offline 		From looking back at all the cmail I get from women,  most are because I had made a post and they wanted to say either thanks for saying something rational or asking me to elaborate on something I wrote. Very few women will message me with the intent of considering me "In That Way."  It's these few which I don't take seriously in the first place, mainly for 3 reasons:
A) they obviously haven't read my profile
B) they are deluded in thinking I'd be their perfect mate and husband
C) they simply send messages to a large number of men without regard to the men's marital situation or if that particulat male is spoken for or is seeking.

Status: offline 		I just go with whatever they've said, or asked and respond accordingly. I have never had a relationship develop or casual fling begin from a woman writing me an email on collarme. I am always the pursuer.

Status: offline 		Sometimes when Im bored I go profile roaming, not looking for anything, just to read the profile.

Often I run across something funny or something that grabs me and will will send a comment stating its just for the reason.

More often than not they dont see it as a come on and will respond to the content that was written.

That's basically what prompted this.  I have commented on more profiles than usual lately, and several of them, instead of responding to the question I asked, said something like, "thanks for writing, but I don't think we're a match"... HUH?  Who said anything about that?  Match?  What?  I mean, I didn't specifically say, "hey, I'm not really interested in you, but I'm writing because...."

generally speaking I get pretty positive results from men I've written to just as a "hey I liked x about your profile / post / pic"    The times I DON'T get that are when they comment on my profile, I take it at face value and say "thanks that is a photo of blah blah blah" and then they give me the whole hubba hubba nonsense.

Now, if you were to comment on MY profile, I might get all hubba hubba with you.

Which after medical and burial expenses goes to my kids... now for my after life plans, I was thinking of haunting either Holly or Potty....

Status: offline 		I get what you are saying "Califchick" because a lot of men..not all but some...think just because you looked at their profile or sent an email to them that you must be seeking them as your Master or Dom....but we have to look to find out about them right....and every so often i look at someone first and comment and i even feel weird for a reason that this isn't right and i should keep just waiting for them to look at me and comment first which i know is off the charts but there is this whole hierarchy thing....weird huh?

Status: offline 		nah, I don't assume she's hoping I'll allow her to drop to her knees for me. But if she's reasonably close and her profile interests me, I will suspect that she might be making such a comment while hoping to start a dialogue that will lead to her being on her knees, so I'll respond in a way that will give her the opportunity to start talking.

Otherwise I'll just thank her for writing and perhaps flatter her a bit too.
