Urine, in and of itself, is sterile in the absence of infection. However, depending on what other bacteria may exist on the skin of the male partner, voiding inside the vagina carries a low but non-zero, risk. The vagina is not a sterile environment and has adequate defenses against normal quantities of foreign bacteria. However, depending on the position, the mechanical force of the urination itself could push bacteria well beyond the cervix and that could create problems, albeit a low risk.
