nonuts4thshoney -> "Tell it like it is" (1/3/2006 10:55:10 AM)

Since finding this lifestyle about 7 monthes ago i have gone through many changes. Actually i'm still going through changes. When i found this site i was so relieved becuase i could come on here and ask questions and seek support. my emotions have been like a roller coaster at times and i don't know if thats common with newbies but it sure has been with me. Maybe this is what happens when you are finding yourself.

Many threads i have posted on here sometimes have others ripping into me and/or stating how certain behaviours would not be tolerated from their sub/slave. i thank all who respond in this way. The responses that i get from all of you have made me think about my actions and how i can go about being a better submissive. i'd have to say that L.A. and Merc and Beth definitely don't sugar coat anything and i thank you guys for that. Things that are pointed out to me as being unacceptable as a sub/slave are just as unacceptable as any ol' vanilla woman/wife/husband out there. Correcting these just makes you a better person. i know alot of people on here hate the ones that "tell it like it is" because they just don't get the answer they were looking for. But i thank you guys everytime i post a retarded thread that makes me look like an ass (at least i can admit it..LOL!) and you respond with no icing on top. Whats the point of seeking help/support if you don't want to here what others have to say.

Anywho... i just wanted to thank everyone who puts their opinions on the table. It does make a difference. [:)]

Be your own person. Dont conform to what others tell you that a sub *should* be

hey nonuts
Some joke, some call em like they see them, some read way to much into a question and over analyze and some just like to see themselves in print.
In my humble opinion, there are no retarded or stupid questions. A question is usually asked in earnst and no matter how other's percieve it, it is important to the asker.
The problem is, with all the different answers you get.....the good, the bad and the ugly.
I believe you read them all and take with you the answers you need.
BTW, I've enjoyed your questions!

Peace, Kevin

I love your enthusiasm with the new lifestyle you've found! The only problem I have here is that, if you start trying to do what every single person who posts in this forum and other forums tell you to do, you're going to go stark raving crazy. What you have to do is read everything and then figure out and do what is right FOR YOU! The advice people post here works FOR THEM, and their paradise just might be someone else's hell! lol

Truth is, no legisation has been enacted that defines exactly what any one person who calls themself a "sub/slave" has to do. No BDSM police are going to show up at your door and write out a citation for Reckless Submissiveness or Failure To Submit In Accordance With Statute 365.738G Many on the boards take great pleasure in gleefully pointing out what they consider to be others' shortcomings, and apparently they feel more domly or more "truely" submissive if they keep others up to date on what they consider inferiorities to their own greatness.

Don't get me wrong, I also like people who are direct and to the point, and those you named personally have a lot of great information to share. But just remember that you have to sleep in your own bed tonite with yourself (and hopefully, someone special!). Read everything you can, but do what's right FOR YOU!

Oh, one more thing....

Someone wouldn't tolerate "your" kind of behavior from their own sub/slave? So? You're not their sub/slave! Tell them..... respectively, of course.....no wait, tell them any way that YOU want to!..... to go flog themself!

Yep, total agreement here. Be yourself, and don't let others tell you how you should act or how you should be.
