I had a cmail contact just before Christmas from what was purportedly from a domina in Mumbai. She asked that we leave CM and go straight to email to talk further. An exchange of emails later she got onto the subject of how she had a huge fortune in Mumbai that needed to be paid into a foreign account in order to keep it out of the hands of insurgents/terrorists/whatever. That account holder is told he'll get a percentage of this vast sum.
This is a variation of what I think has become known as the Nigerian Scam. They get your bank details then empty your account.
(I bring this up now because I've just had my memory jogged by another - no doubt entirely innocent - addition to the "Admirers" list on my profile. The lady in question is also from Mumbai.)
