Status: offline 		When I first joined the community many years ago I had a nick name on IRC of GreenEyes. I had changed servers to find my local community at the time and that nick was taken so I went by GreenCatEyes.

In talking with a domme about nick names she pointed out that people would call me greenie or cat. She encouraged me to pick another nick. We had been chatting on another service and I was using the nick EmrldMgk13. She asked how I picked it. I said because I love green, it's my favorite color, I love emeralds. She picked up on that part and asked if I ever thought about going by emerald.

So that is the name that I choose. Most of my friends call me Em. A few call me Emy. Some call me Auntie Em. Ironically I am Auntie Em to many kink friends children. LOL

Years later I got involved in the SCA. My name there is Emy which is scottish for the latin name of Amy, which is my mundane / vanilla name.

Ironic how things happen.

what is even better, shortened it becomes 'kiss'

I was first "kinkypuppy" some years back
"Kinky" as i definately am.. "Puppy" as I am esscentially harmless,I like cuddles and kisses, I enjoy pleasing others and I trust with no reservations until I learn differently.
After a 4-5 year hiatus into the vanilla world. I returned and found that that "nic" was taken at some places.
So I changed it to "kinkypupper" During that time i thought I maybe a switch. But soon after I found that it was just NOT right. So the "k" was changed to a "K" so suit those wh count such things.

Status: offline 		Mine is brand new.... used to be fencerpet19 but I had to change my account. fp for fencerpet, and 2012 as in I'll be fencing in the 2012 olympics... or so I hope. It's a very high hope. I'd be happy just to make it to international competition... but you never know. Keep your fingers crossed for Paris or London! I think those are the two coolest places in the running to host the games, and I've never been there before.

Status: offline 		I live in the desert. I work in the desert and pretty much thrive in this environment. I mean, it's a bitch sometimes, but I know how to deal with it. I really get off on the idea of doing science under harsh conditions, and doing it well. There's just something very satisfying about it. I know other people who are like me and who feel the same way, and we sometimes refer to ourselves as desert rats. So I glommed onto that as my online name.

A girl I was with for awhile dubbed me 'Bobcat'...it just popped into her head and she started using it occasionally. I liked it, so it stuck for awhile. But then we split up, so my use of that monicker has faded of late. Might revive it later, though. But, no matter what, I will always be proud to be a Desert Rat.

Status: offline 		I use to work for a tax service doing peoples taxes at t ax time , And there was a store that sold blueicing cosmetics I really liked that name and thought i would use it but i noticed i was getting called sweetie all the time so i combined the 2. The name seems to be a good one for me.

Status: offline 		I've always been something of a storyteller with a love for history, old legends, myths, tales, etc. When I registered here, I went with the more traditional variant of a name I'd used online before because it's from a legend I love, and because the story seemed suitable- my story's a love story too, but I'm not entirely sure that this aspect of it is going to work out or if it'll have a tragic end.

It made sense at the time.

Status: offline 		Let's see now... i started as "sweetshiveringsub" in that y chat place (dunno if i'm allowed to name names lol) because people keep trying to tell me i'm sweet and when i feel strong emotion i shiver(besides, i was in Canada.. it was winter...do the math lol). Then when Master gave me His collar i became Cullens_sweetshiv. When i came here it wouldn't allow the spaces or underscores so i became Hissweetshiv - as i say from time to time in chat... i is da shiv, i has always been da shiv, and i will always be da shiv, (y chat place) without end amen.

Status: offline 		My Collarme name was chosen for me by my cousin since she talked me into joining.

However, one couple that I play with calls me Fetch since I'm really good at finding things for them. :D Other than that, I'm called baby bird (cause I can't get enough) or brat (for talking back).

this thread that There would be alot of people
Who would talk about how they got their name.
I just didn't think that 3695 people would look at this thread.

The actual number who posted was 190.

My name came because everything else I tried,
was already taken.

I believe the more new people that see this post will ad on.
I believe it will be like the cosmos, never ending.

Status: offline 		I came by my name through a scene my hubby and I were participating in. The slave with whom we were playing growled (yes actually growled lol) at me "You are kin to evil you wicked bitch" It struck me as amusing at the time. A couple of weeks later, she and I were laughing about it and she swore to call me Kindred from then on as a private joke. It turned into Kindred 2 Evil after being called evil in nearly every scene I'm part of. (gee, almost enough to give a woman a complex!)
Before this I was LadyDom, which I have used since 1999 and still use on occassion in yahoo. Barbed, which is my everyday family/friends comes from a country song, Barbed wire and roses.

Y'all have some great stories about your names! I think it gives insight into people you wouldn't normally get. Great thread!

Status: offline 		I just used the play on words I've chatted with for years on here. Having graduated from Baylor U (NCAA Women's BBall champs YEAH!), I thought being 'Bbare' was perfect. It's worked for like 9 years so far.
