Some Polish proverbs When the Devil can't make it, he'll send a woman. He who gives quickly gives twice. A good painter doesn't have to name his work, a bad painter must. Under capitalism man exploits man, under socialism the reverse is true. Words should be weighed, not counted. You can't like other people if you don't like yourself. Just do it. Easier to gain forgiveness than permission. Respect everything you haven't created. Sometimes in life you're the pigeon, and sometimes the statue. An idiot is someone who only reads what they planned to from a dictionary or encyclopaedia.
