One experience I have had often, is I might reach out to a dominant to see if we might exchange e-mails and get to know one another and for whatever the reason no response at all. Now believe me when I say I do not leave rude or stupid e-mails and I do take the time to read through a profile before I contact someone.

Do dommes feel it's OK to just ignore someone?

I'm only ignoring someone if I asked them to email me and then I failed to respond.

I'm not ignoring someone who sends me an unsolicited email that I chose not to respond to - I'm just not interested in responding.

If either by the "who's viewing me" or the email that is sent, I can tell they clearly haven't read my profile or have not bothered to take in any of the simple things in it... then yes, I feel they really are 'ignoring' who I am.. so I can't be bothered to write back... most women get a lot of mail here and it takes a great deal of time to respond. If the first email is to me a clear indicator that we won't even begin to be compatible (see above) then I won't waste my time.

If they've obviously read my profile, and/or are polite I'm likely to respond at least once.

I have a journal entry that indicates that I get from 10 to 40 emails a day on CM alone, and that I get to them as best I can. If someone writes anyway, then he's accepting that he may or may not get a response. It's just a sad fact of life that no one owes you anything because you've chosen to write to them. We all have other obligations to fulfill and returning email from a stranger probably isn't very high on the list for most women.

We really don't need yet another thread about people complaining because their emails are not being replied to. Please continue this in one of the dozens of existing threads on the topic if you really think it warrants further examination.
