I have found that a lot of Dommes find the extreme use of degradation and V.A. to be unhealthy for some reason.
They often make me feel like an idiot for being turned on by this fetish, I cannot help the fact that I enjoy being made inferiorand put down by someone i consider to be my Superior, this is my fetish and my objective in this scene. Am i alone in this desire? Are there any Dommes who share this fetish?

I am open to any and all opinions on this fetish, be honest.

Many people are into extremes of all types, including humiliation, verbal abuse and degradation. I think you'll hit a problem with the whole "female supremacy" thing. From my observations, most folk here seem to believe that we're all on an even playing ground regardless of gender or orientation (At least we start on equal ground until roles are enacted).

For you degradation and VA are good things. For others those are bad. As to how I feel about your fetish...well....my opinion doesn't count. Fetishes are very personal and don't have to make sense. It turns you on in an enjoyable way for you so have fun with it.

Isn't being made to feel like an idiot...in other words degraded, a part of your fetish? So why complain when those Dommes are giving you exactly what you crave?

LA, you're in rare form tonight. That's the second post of read of yours that literally made Me laugh out loud.

OK, OP, here's the deal. First of all, do Me a favor and refrain from using abbreviations that not everyone is going to get. When you said VA, I literally thought you had some kind of medical fetish that had to do with the Veteran's Administration.

Second, from a Dominant's perspective, you just have to understand why extreme verbal abuse/degredation isn't an activity that's taken lightly. Do you have any idea of the potential pitfalls that can be encountered when doing this?

I can beat someone physically all day long. I can check his/her body for scars from prior injuries or see wounds and avoid those areas. The same isn't true on the mental/emotional plane. Unless I put the work into the talking, investigating, researching, and discussing, how in the hell do I know that something I might use might trigger a horrible childhood memory of when someone was gang raped when they were less than a consenting adult? I don't. That makes it dangerous for Me and potentially harmful to the person I'm playing with.

I think LadyPact really hit the nail on this one. Both degradation and verbal humiliation can really be an emotional minefield for a dominant type to navigate with a real-time submissive. Submissive types are all different of course, and depending on what issues and experiences they have in their background, they can suddenly react very, very negatively and slide into very ugly headspace when playing around with this sort of thing. So yes, for many it would be unhealthy, especially in the self-esteem and self-worth departments. It's a safe bet this is mainly why you're having trouble finding someone to do this for you. Add to that, the probability that the dominants you are coming in contact with just don't get into the sort of dominant headspace that would make this sort of interaction at all enjoyable or fruitful, and you have even more reasons why you're not getting these wants met...

In my experience, it's one of those things a sub is really into, or really not into at all - I consider it mostly a by request only thing.

E2Sweet also mentions that how it's done is just as important - there was a guy in here that told a story about being with a woman and she told him, "be mean to me baby" so he starts calling stupid, lazy, fat, etc. to which she responded in horror: "not like that"!

So no, not all verbal abuse is created equal SingleRarity, just in case that was not facetious, it can be very specific.
