I seem to have developed a sensitivity to the Antipersperant Secret. I have used it for years. It had caused me itching,redness and . I reduced the amount that I shave under my arms but I still have been having problems.

Can someone recommend something in its place that would be more gentle to sensitive skin?

I haven't been able to use regular antipersperant for yours. I have to make sure anything I use doesn't have Aluminum Chlorohydratel. I found this at Target but it isn't carried at all Target stores I have ever shopped at.
You might check a health food or vitamin store for a product that is Aluminum free. That seems to be the key for me.

I can use this though it is hard for me to find at times:

My ex was allergic to deodorants and dusting himself with baby powder took care of his problem. (He used to have a HUGE odor problem but that worked quite well.)

The old classic: baking soda.....and as earlier mentioned, Tom's...about $3.29 per stick....and they have a lavender scented one, as well.

Do something soon...because i will be in a closed confined space with you in a few weeks...

I hate antipersperants. My body's reaction to the blocking of a natural function was to feel uncomfortable, and eventually to sweat even more. Seems like it was trying to purge the offending substance. And the sweat after using an antiperspirant was worse than normal. Smelled worse, stained clothes.

For several years now, I have been using deodorant crystal or Tom's Natural Original unscented. They're both really mild, I never have any irritation, I sweat less, and when I do it's barely noticeable.

Sweat happens. For me, it's usually the scalp that sweats first!
Like the others, I favor "Tom's of Maine" natural deodorant in its unscented form (the scent of the herbs that do the deodorizing suits me fine).
I have used one of the many brands of available "crystal deodorant" but it is not an anti-perspirant.

Basically, you've become allergic to one or more ingredients in the particular brand you've been using. If you are really fortunate, it'll be something specific to that brand, and changing to another brand may solve your problem. More likely, you've become sensitized/allergic (there's a difference!) to the anti-perspirant ingredient itself.

Saffron Rouge sells organic healthcare products. They have several deodorant options. I have used the Weleda sprays. I find them quite refreshing. I have friends that have used Tom's and the Crystal.

If you have allergies to specific things (like I do) Saffron Rouge lists all the ingredients for practically all their products online. I can't buy anything without knowing if it contains something I am allergic to - which makes buying personal care items quite difficult online.

Thanks everyone. I purchased Crystal deodorant that was aluminum free and hypoallergenic. I purchased it at Walgreens Drug store. They had this and Also Toms Deodorant. SO you dont have to go to a special store to purchase natural deodorants.

Try a pump bottle and fill with hydrogen peroxide... it kills the bacteria that make the stink.

I thought I was the only one... This is no lie, Ive used Secret antiperspant for over 30 years. Im almost 40. And one day last year it just stopped working. And I also became irratated . I noticed that I was sweating when Ive never dont that via the pits. I changed to a Suave and that seems to work like the old Secret did. All good things must eventually come to an end..sighs.. I do miss My powder fresh secret.
