Oh dear, Christina, I'm so sorry to hear it.  Thanks for sharing, I don't know if I'd have the strength to post as you did.

yours

Cancer is such a bastard of a disease.  My thoughts and prayers go out to you and my deepest condolences on your loss.  Remember, the empty spaces where he used to be only seem empty – they are still filled with the memories and the love.

It is hell to see a parent suffer.  And when you lose them, it's relief mixed with grief.  I am so sorry for your loss, Christina.

My deepest sympathy to you as well...my granny passed away in 2007 on cancer, so it is not a long time ago when I dealt with a big loss myself. I don't know how it is for you, but for me it was a big relief to know that even when I do miss her that she doesn't have to suffer anymore. Also once she had passed away she appeared to be in peace with herself which helped me a lot to cope with it better. So I hope your dad found his peace as well and best wishes for you and the others who are going to miss him.

I'm so sorry, Christina.  My grandmother had the same cancer.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss.

I remember when you first posted that it was glioblastoma. I kept my mouth shut because my children's father and HIS father both passed (very young) due to complications of glioblastoma multiformae. So I have first hand knowledge on how devastating it can be.

Mourning is never easy. I hope you find some solice in your friends here on cm. We care.

Christina,

My best wishes to you and yours at this difficult time.

The only thing I have to offer is that it has been my
experience that time does help with the healing.

I hope it works that way for you as well.
