I don't think so UTI's are caused by bacteria , If you think you have A UTI you need to see a dr for it.

I would expect that if it was badly fitted, giving you problems in using the toilet...and or you dont take proper care of yourself hygene wise whilst in the belt, that any number of health problems can occur.
But if you take the time to get a quality built device fitted right, then you shouldn't have any problems. The good ones are built for long term 24/7 wear, and they wouldnt have the sales or the reputations they have if people had health issues because of them.
It's not like they are ciggarettes, the only exception to that statement. lol.

Not really true. There are many women (myself included) who don't go to the doctor for a UTI. They can be safely (although sometimes painfully) treated from home if you know what you are doing and you know when to call it quits and go in. If I went running to the doctor for every little thing like a UTI I would be in the doctor every week and be totally broke.

Just FYI, a UTI can quickly become a kindey infection if not treated with anti-biotics (which, of course, you need a prescription for. Best to see your doctor. Kidney infections are evilly painful (and NOT in a good way) and can cause permanent damage very, very quickly.

Depends on the design of the device.
If it does not hinder urine flow or hygeine, there's no problem.
