This is a word of warning to the duct tape lovers. I used it in self bondage. That was 4 days ago and up until this evening I noticed no ill effects directly related to it, except the subspace part really threw me. I had the worst allergic reaction to the tape. Its so bad. I've got a huge itchy red rash all over me and it can bleed when scratched. Yup, its pretty much hell. Never had a skin irratation like this. Scratching = BAD!! aloe = love just wanted to let you know. gotta watch out for that duct tape

zb: there's a product out there called Bondage Tape that only sticks to itslef. It's available is several colors so you can be as fashionable as you like :D I've seen pics of women using it as a skirt and/or bra by wrapping it around themselves. IB: Malamutes are the best! I used to have a big, lovable sable-colored one - he was the sweetest thing! After Fluffy went off to the Great Dog House in the Sky I downsized to a Huskey. She's just as lovable as and only slightly less hairy :) ~Dave

That way any contact with the glue on the duct tape is avoided.

Yes this is true about duct tape removing warts... 4 years ago I had for years a bunch of warts on my thumb and index finger of left hand a bunch of little warts on my knees.. so I put duct tape on the warts on finger and thumb then i put a bandage over it so people wouldn't ask why do u have duct tape on your fingers... I changed the duct tape every other day for about 2 weeks and guess what all the warts disappeared and I have not had any warts since! Go figure....

I have sensitive skin, so duct tape would be a no for me anyway. I prefer a silk scarve or rope for bondage--they hold just as well and no skin irritation worries. [:)] I hope your rash has cleared up...that sounds painful...and not in a good way.

Duct tape is my weird hard limit. Vet wrap is cheaper than bondage tape, available in many colors at your local farm supply store.

In nursing we use Coban on the elderly/ill with thin skin or sensitive types. It comes in many colors, can be found at most drug stores, even the drug area in groceries, and is pretty inexpensive. It would be by the band aids and dressing tape. It sorta looks like an Ace bandage but sticks to it's self. I'm so glad no one I know can't use duct tape. I love the stuff!

Had a bad experience with a Domme who liked duct tape masks - one day had to remove it in a hurry and took a few layers of the skin off my nose - had to go into work on Monday morning with a very scabby face and a very thin "dunno what happened, must be allergic to somefin" excuse.

I only use duct tape when as IB says, I see way too much body hair--cats and hairballs are not a good mix--but I have horses and the tape we use for their joints is awesome--tons of colors, no tape reaction and well the feed store thinks My horses have arthritic issues.[8\|]

I Love Duck Tape and I always keep 3 of 4 rolls of it. I love when a Mistress/Domme tells me to shut up and she goes and gets the Tape. She tells me to close my mouth and she wraps the Tape around my head 3 or 4 times then she tears it off the roll and tell me to stand in the corner. I also had a couple of times that my Mistress/Domme that i was with she wrpped up her Package and sent me to the store and to get me excited and she did not take it off until she was ready to go to bed and it hurt. Don't get me wrong i love it but when it is time to take it off it hurts. I love the smell of it and the colors of the tape.

I use vet wrap. It works just like bondage tape; it's cheap; and it comes in so many pretty colors! YAY (Warning: it does contain latex and may cause reactions in sensitive or allergic people)

Using a base like saran wrap and/or stretch wrap first might be an option. Many people have allergies to adhesives. If you get a red itchy rash from using a band-aide then I would not recommend duct tape :)
