I would think that a slave of a thirty year master would know better. But I guess it proves that being in this lifestyle a long time does not always mean you can pick good students. Is Mistress Laura reading your postings here?

Master G
From a Master, learn of the Master.
And from the slave, learn of the slave

Anyone else have any idea what this is about?

Sounds like either the old "one true way" song or a comment from someone whose experience with "slavery" as mostly consisted of pixels.

Smilezz's original comment seems to have covered hers (and a lot of other people's) feelings quite nicely.

Why be a slave? Why not if that is what you heart tells you is right for you. As long as you are happy and fufilled why question it?

For me it is because the act of questioning itself is fulfilling for me, and the act of understanding things and how they work with other things on as many levels as possible is extremely satisfying for me.

Ahh what I LIKE about being a slave is a very different question than why I choose to be in a relaitonship as a slave.

What I enjoy most is being me more than I would be on my own. It's a fairly selfish thing really.

That hits it for me. i wouldn't consider myself a slave if i were not in a relationship. Subbing gave me much chance to have play but little emotional lift that was lasting. Becoming a slave 24/7 brings me more care and respect than i ever got as an independant. Gives me the oppurtunity to grow and to learn and to feel joy like never before. Making one man happy in all areas of his life is so much more fulfilling than making many happy in only one.

Sounds good to me.

For me, I do both. I enjoy the play and fucking and fulfillment in that, and I enjoy the total lifetime commitment.

Lucky Albatross, i have come to enjoy several regular posters here, and you are high among them.

The premise of this whole thread is that slaves have no rights and its unfair. Says who? i have what i need and what i want. If thats unfair, then please don't liberate me.

some folks ascribe to a spiritually based belief system--call it a religion or insanity if you want, it doesn't negate the reality they experience--therefore there are some who believe that servitude is the reason their souls are here, since before their conception, their purpose is defined as one of service. they WANT to fulfill their purpose.

Once that has been accepted there are a variety of ways to fulfill that purpose of service to another human being or group of human beings. some folks serve ideals or animal rights groups(ever met a full-time activist? AMAZING folks!), throngs of followers or only themselves(ever meet a survivalist, out there in the forest? another AMAZING path)~and others are drawn to serve individuals for short or long term, to be vessels for good energy to flow through and positive growth to happen as a result of.

personal sacrifice and total devotion are rarely seen as anything other than "unfair" or the ever-popular "treatable with the 'right' therapist or meds" by folks with limited understanding. the clueless remain so and the unenlightened, stubbornly out of the loop. it isn't for everyone, although some suffer the "role", so that makes them so by self-definition and labelled so by others as part of a "lifestyle community". to quote a famous book: "those that have "eyes", will see and those that have "ears" will hear".

it has been this slave's experience that a slave gives self-less service. to some it is rather sick, unappealing or just plain wrong or unattainable. they insist that it is for self-serving reasons that service exists--the "joy" they get from serving is what must propel one to consensual slavery, or the sensations that are provided to them by the Master. that's not everyone's journey-for some, personal "joy", sensation play, security, getting one's needs met, outside of food-water-shelter-meds are considered gravy and therefore non-essential to their slavery, merely a "treat" if Master allows.

If you look at it in terms of a power exchange, then it's easier to understand. It's just that, an exchange, not one person giving and one person taking. Each gives and takes in his and her or own way. The power to please the one you adore is heady stuff and worth being a slave for.

why am i a slave?
/c pleasing Master makes me happy. seeing his smile, knowing he is proud of me.i am the girl he has chosen me to give the gift of service to him too.b/c he has taken control of my life and i am no longer floundering and feeling lost. b/c i have been given a sense of purpose...because i love his hands in my hair as he pulls me close to him.seeing his smile........
masters are supposed to show mercy and compassion, discipline and get rid of the behaviors they don't like ,not just get rid of you.Master t4eaches and trains and guides me
the only right i have is to please Master, however he does take much into consideration where i am concerned.he truly has my bests interests at heart and actions do speak louder than words.

LadyMorgynn -> RE: Why Be a Slave (1/12/2006 6:18:17 PM)

I don't really see where "unfair" comes into it at all. If it were NONconsensual slavery, yes, it would be unfair (as well as extremely illegal!)... but we are talking consensual slavery. The slave choses to BE a slave, and to give up his or her rights in order to achieve that goal. So... fair? unfair? They CHOSE to have no rights, so why complain about it?

Just so everyone is clear. THIS IS NOT HOW I FEEL. This was a question Master asked me to post. Being an obediant slave, I did. I like to keep myself out of trouble to save my heiney from being red. I also do not appreciate how negative remarks are geared toward my Master. WE do live this lifestyle full time 24/7 and have for a long time now. How I was trained, no slave in their right mind would EVER be so disrespectful as has been displayed on this discussion board to ANY MASTER. I understand you have feelings and I respect that but please refrain from being disrespectful to others. I also Thank those who have given honest answers to what Master was looking for. It has helped him understand more how we think. And will help Master in his other sites. Again, Thank you.

I like how you phrased it. It fits very nicely how I feel. Thank you very much for answering the question precisely. My best interests are Masters interests. I love pleaseing Master and I love to see the rewarding smile I get in return when I do so. I never feel as if he is unfair or even this lifestyle is unfair. If I did then I wouldnt be in it. "A good Master is one who takes care of his slave who is taking care of him, becasue without the slave being taken care of properly, then the slave cannot properly care for her Master." Just because slaves dont get all they want doesnt mean they arent being cared for properly. Sometimes the best gifts are the requests that were unanswered. Good Luck with you and your Master. May it be a lifetime of Happiness for the both of you.

On the contrary, a slave has two of the most important rights you could ever imagine. The right to relinquish control over to his/her master. And the right to take back that control if ever he/she believes their emotional, physical, or mental well being are in jepordy. These two rights are the most important in a Master/slave relationship. What makes the relationship so beautiful, is that the Master/owner knows that the slave has those 2 rights.

And some of us have more rights than that. I have the right to "Dom" my Master when it comes to His health. I have the right to question His orders if I feel they may conflict with my Prime Directive. He gave those rights to me when I became His slave.

But that doesn't answer the original question. For me, I am His slave because I can't NOT be His slave. He and I met and the need to be on my knees before Him hit me like a freight train doing 90 miles an hour. It's primal. It's instinctive. And I've never met any other man capable of making me feel this way.

If your slavery makes you happier than your rights or another type of interaction would, then the choice is easy.
