Heh, I've got some of those. With a little effort you can fold them in half, and force a foam bicycle handgrip over the fold for a more finished look

I love hardware stores!!! I found a section that had handrails that were sanded soooo smooth, and were sooo intensely sensual that I literally came just from rubbing the wood! ~drools~ It's hard to keep me outta there now! ~giggles~

I also got some great crops for $6.00 each from our local "Horse Barn", a shop for equestrian needs. But Wow!!! Did I ever find some other great leather products there. I easily made a suede/leather, verrry good quality flogger, with a wood handle (all combined, price was a mere $15.00!!) There were also some great leather pieces that made a great tawse ($9.00). And of course, you can make wrist and ankle cuffs from this good, sturdy leather for a mere fraction of the price you'd pay elsewhere for inferior quality leather (four cuffs - $22.00). I love this horse store!! Honestly, I needed to buy some metal bits from the hardware store, but you can't beat the prices when combining both stores!

If you have the least bit of creativity you can find fabulous options almost everywhere.

Note, I have seen the paddle of which she speaks. Overbuilt would be a perfect description for it.. someone is going to be far too happy with it!

It's been a while since I've been to the Dom Depot, or the Lowes. Luckily they're right across the street from eac other.

There was this time, you see, when BitaTruble and I went to Orchard Supply so she could show me what to buy in order to make one of her rather "unique" implements called an Ugly Sister.

Except when Bita & I are together we laugh - a lot. And we don't really stop. And here we were, strolling the isles when this really kind employee came by and asked if we needed help. And Bita, who actually really IS a Bita Truble, was trying to describe the kind of piping she needed...which is typically found under the sink. And this helpful employee was asking all sorts of questions (in his quest to be helpful), geared to help us get what we needed - - in relation to our broken sink, of course.

And Bita starts laughing...so then I started laughing. And this employee, well he just looked really bewildered as Bita was explaining that "it's kind of hard to explain..."

When all was said and done, I never really did learn what kind of piping I needed and she just gave me an extra ugly sister of hers to play with.

A trip to Wally World tonight yielded a mislabeled spreader bar (thanks, Russell!) and a badass little bungee cord whip made from an 8 pack of "Smart Straps- Adjustable toggle balls" (plastic balls removed) and a roll of electrical tape. $10 on the bar and under $7 on the whip

Ever Since i accidentally found a web site that sold a flogger made from metal ball chain... and nearly orgasmed with the idea of how it might feel being used..mmm welllll.. i have been wanting to make one.. i remember it being rather costly.. but havent been able to find anyone selling any by the yard.

All i ever find at wall mart..and Lowes and Home depot.. is small pieces sold in packets..for replacing pull chain on ceiling lights.

damn though.. the idea of it fresh from the freezer.. yum.

Lowe's,,Menards,,Home Depot,,all have everything you can ever need(well there are exceptions)to make your own toys/furniture. all it takes is some imagination n a basic concept of mechanical ability

Oh my goodness i got such a laugh out of this one.

As an electrician, we use nipples when running pipe. My Contractor didn't have a machine that would do short nipples out of large pipe, we had to take them down to the plumbing supply house and have them done. While i was there i ran into an old plumber who Master has always spoke very highly of with great respect. He said "so what's a pretty electrician like you doing in a place like this?" i was flustered a bit and blurted out, "oh, i'm just having my nipples done"

My face turned bright red and i couldn't get out of there fast enough. He was laughing pretty hard though.

www.fastenal.com is also another great place to find hardware. you might find your ball chain there.
