Fire Obama.....or have him give up presidency to Take second spot. Joe Biden is more respectable imho. Who is going to respect anyone who isn't patriotic, who says one thing and does another, and promises change when change is inevitable. Change you can believe in? I say we make a half cent and put Obama's mug on it! This half cent should probably be made mostly of TIN or some other worthless metal.....

Stop regulating and taxing people who create jobs--ie rich people--so that they can grow and great new ones. No poor person ever gave me a job!

The middle class gave you a job,as well as an income source for rich people. The rich did quite well under the Clinton rates. But if you want,sent them some of your money to compensate their loss.

The question, as posed, implies that unemployment is being increased from its correct value, and that some tactic will be needed to return it to its rightful state. I disagree with that premise. IMO, the real problem is that a bubble occurred, which essentially created lots of money without anything to back it up. This "fake money" was spent in various ways, goosing the economy. A lot of this fake money has vanished, and with it the goose. The higher unemployment is an unwanted side effect of the resultant contraction. My "solution" is for the government to continue what it has done before - use social programs such as unemployment insurance, but at a higher rate than before. This will permit people to get a safety net but continue to look for work. I think that we may be in a transition to a new world with fewer, less-paying jobs. Oh, yeah, and also the government can rejigger the unemployment numbers and change how they're calculated so they look better. That has been done before.

Yeah... let's let the rich off from paying their fair share... that'll balloon the national debt, change the budget deficit into an ever bigger chasm, triggering the banks to be more cagy with credit... foreclosures begin, and the whole thing unravels again.... Oh, and the rich? They'll take all the tax breaks you give them, and take their businesses overseas. (Like they have been since 94.)

At the end of the day, unemployment is still going up with NO end in sight. What is the answer? Maybe the answer is, there are going to be many people without work for a long, long time. In my world, the answer is to figure out a way to create thousands of long-term, stable and meaningful J O B S and soon. Once created, maybe we will actually keep them in this country this time! As unemployment rises, people get dissatisfied and start looking harder at the leaders, big problems for those that govern, but beware a rise in security personnel, with a dissatisfied country, there may be a rise in the requirement for security staff, so more jobs, but at what price and where is the extra security to be employed.

Well my thoughs are that Lord Obama should have waived all payroll income taxes,that way we the people can keep the monies in our own pockets. Just think what you could do wih that money. You'd likely pay off some debts, and more then likely go buy some stuff. Buying stuff creates jobs. Also to get the car industry going,stop pushing for more cleaner cars better gas mileage etc. They're fine the way they are now. Lord Obama was elected via the help of leftwing enviro-nazis that want to put all of us in danger with these dumb-ass minicars. Also drill here-drill now, build refineries,nuclear power plants,windfarms,etc. If theres one type of fuel that should be "pushed" for in the car industry,its natural gas..safe, super clean, little refining, and there 300yrs worth under this country..We just need the filling stations..That how we get jobs in this country, from my view point..
