The book is by "Joe Torre and Tom Verducci." Torre had the opportunity to strike any part of the book that he didn't want to go to press, and apparently it was fine with him for A-Rod to be lampooned in a book with his name on it. It was fine with him to expose clubhouse secrets. That's No-no Numero Uno in professional sports. When David Wells did the exact same thing with a "co-author," Torre was livid. Now he's being a hypocrite. And what could he possibly gain from this book? He's made millions over the last twelve years, so it can't be about money. The book isn't even released yet. The media, as usual, has taken the most sensational few sentence excerpts from a 500 page book in order to create their own story and manipulate the public's viewpoint. I'll read the book before passing judgement. And..... Joe said his name was on the book and will stand by whats inside. However the quotes were not from Joe. If you listen to the interview you will know the truth. Remember the book was written by TWO people not just one. It was Toms and Joes view of what occured during the 90's.
