jayeyre1980 -> just looking for some advice (2/13/2009 6:41:38 AM)

i was lucky enought to have my profile hand picked by a Domme that is very serious, and i am hoping things will go well, but there is one thing i keep screwing up, and She has warned me about it multiple times. it is the fact i talk too much. Really, i am a quiet person, UNLESS i get on a topic that is enjoyable to talk about (i.e. being woned by this Domme), and then i can't seem to shut up. If She does choose me to serve Her, i see speach restrictions in my future, but, can anyone give me a little advice as to haw to tone myself down so i don't keep pissing Her off? She knows i am serious, and really want this, but She says i am in overdrive, and She's right. Can A/anybody give me advice on how to keep my mouth iin check?

Just try to keep your answers short and to the point. If she asks a question, give an answer, not an essay. Another thing is....take a deep breath and just try to be calm. If you feel yourself starting to rant, just pause for a moment, breathe, and then talk. To me, it just sounds like you are a bit giddy. Nothing wrong with being excited over meeting someone, just try to keep yourself calm and under control.

To quote Lily Tomlin, "For fast-acting relief try slowing down."
You need to just breathe and think before you speak.  Be aware of what comes out of your mouth.

Speech restrictions aren't a bad thing if they make you consider your words. Being excited about a topic is fine...being a chatterbox because of it does get annoying. Learn to practice self-awarness and self- disipline or you may end up disappointing that which you want only to please.  Why not ask this to Domme help you find a way to please Her with some self-control practices in regards to speech.

Or.....Learn to live life gagged. [;)]

Good luck

Something that was taught to me a long, long time ago...

Take a deep breath before even opening your mouth, and give yourself a couple of seconds to work out the gist of what you need to say into a sentence, and start with that. If the person you are talking to wants you to expand on what you have said they will ask. Be guided by the person you are speaking to.

Sounds easy, but it's not, although once you have the discipline fixed and working it becomes second nature.

i hope things work out for you.

It is a very visual lesson I use with my little guys.  You have two ears and one mouth.  Keep that in mind when listening and speaking.

I personally would not sign on to have someone as my Dominant hwo had a problem with how much I talk. It's a part of my personality, it's who I am to be talkative and out going. You;re asking for a disaster in my mind to be with someone who doesn't like a major part of you.
